A nice stylish compact backpack.

The backpack is compact and understated with a nice embellishment on the sides. It has a clean modern slim design but holds quite a bit of tech. A 14 inch laptop fits easily in the rear compartment with space for a 11 inch tablet as well and all associated power cables, chargers and a mouse. This is an ideal backpack for commuting if you want to carry the essentials without the bulk.

Nice looking bag - but check the size is ok for you.

Check the size dimensions before you buy (52.29 x 39.29 x 10 cm) as it wasn't as big as was expecting. The length and breadth are fine but the width is only 10cm - so it is narrow. It's a good size for a laptop bag but you would struggle to carry a lot of things in this bag. It might be ok for school or university if you don't need to carry folders or books. One of the good things about having a small size bag is that you don't have the temptation to overpack and make it so heavy that you hurt your back. It looks really good. The navy colour is nice and I like that there aren't huge logos all over the place. The material is good and it looks like it will last a while. Helly Hansen is a good make and is known to be robust and weatherproof. It has good padding and is comfortable to wear. This backpack might also be good for short day trips - you can use it to carry your lunch, but you wouldn't be able to fit spare clothes. I recommend this backpack. It is a nice shape, is comfortable to wear, and it looks good.

No good for hiking.

A nice quality rucksack with plenty of pockets although they are very thin and shallow. Despite outdoor features such as padded shoulder straps a chest strap and side water bottle pockets it's No good for hiking or the outdoors in general this is definitely for college, school or office all the pockets are the perfect shape and size for books,laptops, pencil cases, mobiles be and devices. A really nice looking bag and very well made ????????.

I really enjoy this bag

I love this bag; it's petite, but I've managed to fit so much into it; it's a bit of a Tardis. I think this is because its squared off shape makes it easy to pack efficiently, and the various useful stash pockets. The top zip goes just over halfway down each side, making access easy. Build quality and materials is fab; the exterior fabric is an almost denim synthetic fabric; it looks and feels great, and seems hardwearing too. The outside stash pocket has a diagonal zip about 3/4s of the way down the pocket, making stashing taller things difficult. I appreciate the aesthetic, but it would be easier to use if the zip was at the top and just went straight across. There is padding for your back and around the laptop sleeve. The shoulder straps have a little padding, and there is a detachable sternum strap. It's comfortable to carry even with some weight in it, though I've removed the sternum strap. The elasticated bottle pocket on one side is handy, and easily takes up to a 1.5L water bottle. There are reflective strips on both sides. I really enjoy the bag; it looks great, it feels well made and robust, it's comfortable to carry, easy to pack and easy to access.

When you see the name Helly Hansen you can be assured that what ever you are looking at will be good quality. You can get bags which have more pockets than you can count. This one is the opposite to that and all the better for it. It has a single large padded full size pocket with 2 zips. Also another same size pocket with a zip and a small pocket inside. There is a slim flask/bottle holder on one side. well elasticated. On the back outside there is yet another large pocket just slightly smaller than the main one with a zip. All well padded. The general shape is slimmer rather than an clothes carrier. Perfect for laptops, books and flat articles. The straps have plenty of padding and adjustment including a chest strap. I've used it and my family with different heights etc all found it comfortable. Everything is nicely made and well padded. carrying/hanging strap at the top
