Simpler to replace than I thought. But use the OEM Hamilton Beach cup!

I bought my Hamilton Beach HMD200 drink mixer from eBay, and it was pretty heavily used. I replaced this cup guide assembly because it wiggled a little and sometimes the stainless steel cup would slide behind this guide. The new cup guide made no difference: the way it's designed, the cup guide is not held firmly against the body of the mixer, so there is a little gap between the cup guide and the body of the mixer. The ACTUAL problem was not the cup guide, but rather the cup I was using. The mixer arrived with a stainless cup that appears to be 1/2 of a cocktail shaking tin. The lip is thin and sharp. With some research, I determined it was not original equipment, as the original cup from Hamilton Beach has a rolled rim which prevents it from slipping in behind the cup guide. It also has a lip on the base which fits into the cup support perfectly. As for replacing the cup guide: just pull it straight down. There is a spring-loaded mechanism which snaps the cup guide into place. It is NOT necessary to tear down the entire mixer (like I did) to replace the cup guide. Just push the new one straight up and it will snap into place.
