Works Great, if Used Correctly

I purchased this to avoid having to buy and throw away the plastic liners. And it works great, with one caveat. If you wash it out right after using it, no problems. If you let the paint dry, then peel it off (which I did), you want to do two things. First, after you have brushed as much of the leftover paint back into the can as possible, take your brush and spread the remaining paint over the entire tray (except the rivets, which don't clean well). You want an even, thin layer of paint. Then level the tray, so the paint won't flow to the deep end. Once the paint has dried, the paint will peel off easily. But if you don't do this, and leave patches of paint, then you have to peel each patch separately. Very time-consuming.

Buying another one

Love these trays. I purchased my first in 2015, have painted lots of rooms over the two years, and this pan is still like new. I read some comments about lack of usability, but I disagree. I leave a smidge of paint in mine for easy peeling, or I can wash the tray immediately if I want to use a different color. It is true that leaving a smidge is best for peeling, but that is not a problem or a waste of paint. As for drying out the paint too quickly, I've not had that problem UNLESS it is dead of summer (100+) and I am leaving the tray unattended for more than 30 minutes at a time. Otherwise, as long as I am continually painting, my tray does not dry the paint out and peel up while I'm using my roller. I highly recommend these trays for those who want an easier cleanup process.

The best paint pan EVER

That said, this is my 2nd one. Exact same brand, etc. DO NOT use a scrubber on this, EVER. My first one lasted two houses (I have to paint EVERYTHING when I get a new residence) and about 10 years... but I am fairly certain it's due to my using a scotch brite kitchen sponge on it that it was no longer non-stick, and since we have tackled the painting of a 2000 sf home this year, I HAD to order a new one. Now I remember why I loved this so much, cleanup is SOOOO easy.

Waste of Money

I read the reviews and despite all the negative ones I thought it might be worth a try to avoid using disposable liners. I like the size and more shallow depth then many other trays. I couldn't get it to peel off the "nonstick" coating no matter how thinly I rolled it out so resorted to scraping with a plastic tool. The next use I decided to wash it off before the paint dried. The black paint on the back and the nonstick coating is coming off in small spots and rust is appearing. I will finish my current project and throw it away.

Can Be Used Over & Over Again!

I've purchased many other paint trays and have to throw them away after one use. I used this one to paint my front door, let the paint dry, then an hour later it all peeled right off. The tray is back in perfect condition! Love the material used and love that the tray isn't over-sized and clunky. Recommend.

Easy Clean Up

I am a bit of fussy with my tools, equipment and supplies. Have only used with latex paint, but it works as indicated with easy peel after the paint has set. Price was very reasonable.

I tried it

It works good at first - paint peels right off. However, the pan begins rusting through the coating which negates the non stick properties. Since 2015 I've used it perhaps 8 times.
