Used for showering after surgery

I bought this for use in the shower after rotator cuff surgery. Although I didn't have to use a sling while showering, this was nice to have on for better shoulder comfort when washing in the shower.

Shoulder surgery recently??? Then this is the "I'm ready for a shower I can't take it anymore" sling. It takes a little effort but if you have someone to help you take it slow getting it on and off it's a breeze. I used mine just to shower with after surgery and it worked just fine. Here's a tip to help you if this is your intended purpose. What we did since my arm was nearly completely incapable of movement was this. Det your assistant to dry you off with the wet sling still on. Then get them to help you hold it like a sheet spread out and slip it carefully up behind your arm up to your pit. Let your arm relax up against you which holds it in place. Now they can grab the edges and bring them up around your sling sort of burrito style and you can hold it around the sling, isolating it to keep it from dripping. Grab a dry, smaller hand towel on your way out. That would make it so we could slip on underwear and make it to the edge of the bed to get something propped under my arm to get the wet stuff off. Then take the little dry hand towel and gently dry the arm. Finished getting dressed and put on your real sling and feel like a million bucks cause you my friend just took an amazing shower and feel fresh and clean. As for the wet sling we would just hang it over the shower rod to let it dry for next time. Never had a single problem out of it.

Simple and well made

Down side is velcro adjustment catches on neck and rubs sometimes. "Furry" protection sleeve is a waste of time.. throw it away

Very light and cool but shoulder has very little padding

As per title, got it to be cool, which it is great, but decided to get another one with better padding for strap over shoulder.
