It's All Good!

Although I have not used the Moultrie Feeder in the field yet, I am familiar with game feeders and I purchased this feeder for the following reasons: 1) Moultrie's reputation; 2) price point; 3) sturdiness; 4) ease of operation; 5) free shipping. After inspecting the product, I'm well pleased with my purchase.

Very nice

Got this delivered last night. Set it up next day, today. Used it this evening. Got 2 hogs. Not saying the feeder is why. But, the hogs did come right to it after third timed feed spread. Seems really sturdy too. Very very easy to operate also.

Watch out for the smart deer

This feeder has worked great but I finally had a smart doe that figured out if she just bops the spinner it turns into a gravity feed feeder. I gave it 4 stars because I have no issue putting a rodent guard on it but it’s $50. Think I will just figure out my own

Great product .

I really liked this feeder , easy to set up and worked flawlessly and then the tornado came and dropped 9 trees on top of it . Warning : it will not stand up to a tornado and 9 trees landing on it lol . I will be ordering another one .

Need to be taller

Feeder needs to be taller. At least 1 more section. On plus side feeder is easy to set. Still haven’t decided if I like the AA over regular battery.

Appears to be a good product for the money. Put together in a few minutes with ease. Timer easy to use but battery not included. That's a separate order. I'll save money in not having to buy so much corn and consequently this will pay for itself in a matter of months.

Something wanted in….and destroyed this feeder.

I ordered this because I was leaving town for three weeks, and wanted to make sure my crows and blue jays ( and squirrels) were fed regularly. I had no idea that these deer feeders existed, so I was thrilled to find this product, AND that they had a huge capacity, and a programmable timer. It was affordable, but came in an enormous box ( I felt bad for the Amazon driver who had to schlep this to our doorstep.) Easy to set up, just a little cumbersome due to the size. Easy directions. My husband is tall, so he was able to get the raw peanuts and sunflower seed inside, and secure the lid with three hooked bungee cords wrapped through each leg and attached to the lid handles. With that, the lid didn’t move at all. Made sure a few days before I left that everything was working properly; it was. I was impressed. I read in other reviews that some were attaching trail cameras to these. I did not. My mistake. Fast forward to three weeks later. I got home to find some critter or group of critters had gone to town on this thing- ate a huge hole in the side, probably climbed right in, and had a shameless feast. We do have some pretty fat and sassy raccoons on our property, so. Final verdict: not raccoon-proof. If this were made of the same material as a lightweight metal trash can, the hopper would not have been messed with. Looking at other reviews, I saw that raccoons could climb up the legs and manually turn the spinner and empty out the food. I would MUCH rather have seen that. At least I’d still have a usable feeder. With the massive, chewed-up hole, now this feeder is pretty much useless. I’m sad…

Good product for the price I paid.

For a cheap feeder it is well designed. Timed feeders can be problematic in the extreme cold and I'm sure this one will be too. Will probably buy or build a gravity feed tube for it.
