Good replacement for analog timer but must know what you are doing.
I have a PF1102T that is now needing it's 3rd motor. I decided to try a digital one instead. Here's what I encountered to get it to work... 1) There's no holes to mount the Pb374E through the front with the original screws like the analog timers have. Instead you'll have to get some long machine screws and place them through the two empty holes in the front of the PF1102T metal plate and through two of the corner mount holes on the timer and use a hex nut to attach it down. It'll still wiggle a little, but it works. I think I got 1.75" M4 but I can't remember. 2) The original timer had line 1 (black) going to the manual switch (terminal 1) and terminal 2 of the manual switch went to the right side of the relay that has 2 connectors; one for the timer, one for the freeze protection. Terminal 3 was tied into line 2 (red) which is also tied to the left side of the relay. This is basically so that the red side of the relay always has power and will trigger on independently by either the timer/switch or the freeze protection. They work independently this way. Terminal 4 was tied into line 1 (black) providing the other half of the 240v power to the timer motor. The PB374E DOES NOT WORK THIS WAY!!!! The PB374E is meant to have 2 lines in with 2 lines back out with one of them switched. This means that for the PF1102T all you do is connect the original black line 1 to terminal 2 and then terminal 4 to the right side of the relay. This gives you your "switched" loop to the relay like on the mechanical timer. The red line 2 tie in goes to terminal 1. Leave terminal 3 empty and remove the stray line 1 black line that powered the old analog timer motor or cap it off. If you try connecting this wire to terminal 3 you'll trip your breaker and/or fry something. Do not bother looping the red line 2 through the timer to the left side of the relay via terminal 3. This defeats the purpose of having an independent red line powering the relay so the freeze protector can work w/o the timer. Just leave terminal 3 empty.
