This is a nice heater but, it doesn't heat up as much as I was hoping for.. you need to put it closer to get it to warm you up if the temperature is cold!

Better heater than I could have imagined

My husband and I like to have dinner on our patio, but when the weather gets chillier we need some extra warmth. This is the first outdoor heater we've owned and we couldn't be more happy since we purchased it a little over a year ago. Super easy set up, I love that it is electric so I don't have to worry about propane running out, easy to store & lightweight and puts out a good deal of heat. I like it so much that I'm ordering another one to use on our other patio and to take with us on RV trips. Love it!!!

Burnt dump switch and toggle switch

I bought 3 of these and overall I really like them. I bought 3 of these I received them on January 24th I have only used one and a month later but only about 10-12 hours of use on February 25th it would not turn on, so I opened the power box and found the dump switch and the toggle switch were both burnt out. I bypassed the dump switch and replaced the toggle switch now working properly. I’m just worried that I will have the same issues with the other two I bought I guess I will just wait and see .

Better Than Expected

The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a personal heater to use on my outdoor patio in the fall months here in Western NY. I contemplated a natural gas powered patio heater but liked the simplicity of an electric unit feeling that it would be adequate for my needs. So I purchased this electric heater. Upon opening the box I was quite surprised at how solid the tripod is - heavy aluminum and sturdy. The instructions weren't the best, but it was still easy to put together. The heat output is what you should expect from 1500 watts - the maximum for regular household current. It's not going to heat a large area, but it will warm those within the lamp's shadow. (We're talking 5100 BTUs as compared to a 48000 BTU natural gas patio heater.) I like the simplicity of this heater. There's a single switch rather than a remote control, and one setting: "on" which unleashes the full 1500 watts. I'm using it to sit under while I work outside. It's positioned to my left while I have a quartz tower heater on the table to my right. Sitting between them (they both run on the same outlet with no problem) gives me a warm bubble of Miami within the cold confines of Rochester.

Very effective!

The only thing I don't like is that there is no knob for the tilt feature. Other than that it's great. We keep it on our patio and use it daily. Puts out a good amount of heat.

Does what it says!

It definitely gives off great heat and was relatively easy to set up. I'm not allowed propane on my balcony so this was a good fix to help extend my outdoor time during covid. Whatever isn't in its radius doors still stay cold though so keep that in mind. I wish it had an auto off but the stand is sturdier m I expected and I follow all safety precautions and bought a little fire extinguisher just to be on the safe side.

Great little heater!

Just what I was looking for to heat out front porch. Easy to set up and sturdy enough - that was not afraid of a stiff wind. Great purchase and will keep us warm into early December I hope!

Works Well - Easy Assembly

We use this heater on an outdoor, screened-in porch and it has helped us to extend our outdoor season. Gives off lots of heat making it very warm for those up close to it, with less intensity the further you move away from it. Sitting 10 feet away on a cool Fall day (10C-12C) was quite comfortable. Any cooler and you'll want to move closer to it. Put it together in a few minutes, adjusted the height and angle, and plugged it. Voila!

Short life span

Bought this item to supply some heat in the garage. Worked well, until is stopped working in 5 months. Even on sale, it is an expensive proposition for 5 months of use. I doubt a tradesman would be happy with this performance.
