Basic but absolutely does the job

This is a cheap bot knife but it WORKS. I much prefer a better quality one with a wooden handle, but as I was in a hurry and my local tack store ran out, I got this cheap one (2 day shipping with Amazon Prime). It is a good, large size, and does the job. If you are scraping off bot eggs and find that no matter how much you scrape, the eggs stick, it's because you're angling the blade wrong. Scraping harder doesn't help - it would only hurt your horse. Try tilting the blade at a 10 degree angle, then 20 degree, etc. You will find an angle that works. Don't just scrape at a perpendicular angle.

Works great!

This worked quickly & efficiently in removing bot fly eggs from my mini horses. It only took a little pressure & a good angle to remove the eggs. The minis were not afraid & actually stood still since it felt like they were getting groomed. It worked great on their legs & hard to reach little nooks.

Amazing tool ❤️ ????!!

This product is amazing, and at a great price too ❤️! It’s safe to use on your big fur babies and even smaller ones too! My horse’s love it when I’m done with there belly’s and there legs because I can itch behind there ears and on top off there heads after I wash it off...

EXCELLENT!

I bought a 19 year old QH that had been a brood mare in a pasture. She was COVERED in bot eggs from her hooves to her neck. I was able to easily remove all of them with some time with this product and she LOVED it - she must have thought I was giving her a 1 hour pet :) HIGHLY recommend this knife for bot removal!

Simple and handy

Makes quick work of clearing bot eggs off legs. If it doesn't seem to work, just adjust the angle and it'll go better. Good value for the price. And your public service announcement for the day: don't forget a good quality deworming program! You can clear them off legs all you want, but without deworming and manure management you're just wasting time.
