Should have come with the MRO

Pretty sure every review is the same for this. Its extremely overpriced for what it is, and it should have come with the MRO. I would gladly trade the plastic box and have the MRO ship in a brown cardboard box for this lens cap. If you purchased the MRO in a low configuration, the cap can only open upwards as the grab tabs will interfere with the rail/barrel causing the lens cap to not flip open 100%. 4 stars just for price alone. $40 for this is borderline highway robbery.

Well made and a good solution

While I think this is a pricey item for what it is, it is well designed and made, and looks okay (cosmetically). It has a torx screw to clamp it to the sight very snug and secure. I mounted mine such that when open the spring loaded cover goes down against the rail vs. up into the breeze; this also puts the left and right tabs facing up which makes it very easy to pop the cover open quickly. I decided not to buy the flip cap that also has the anti-reflection device built into it because to me that is a combat/sniper accessory, and I personally will never use the rifle that way. Also, who snipes with a red dot sight? So why spend an extra $35? I have included photos with the cover open and closed, and included one with the scopecoat cover installed, which while a little bit of a tight fit, it does fit on the MRO with the flip cap installed. All in all this is an excellent solution for protecting your expensive optic.

Essential Lens Cover for Trijicon MRO

This lens cover is an absolute must for anyone with a Trijicon MRO. Easy to install - easy to use. Cannot imagine not having this to protect my $500+ optic. In fact, my only complaint is that it should have come factory installed on the MRO.

Pricey, But What's the Alternative?

It's pricey, but what's the alternative? There's the whole body cover, but that costs just the same. Protects my MRO and that's all I can ask for it to do!

RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED

This does exactly what a butler creek cover would do but costs more than double. The bad part is if you want to protect your $500.00 investment you have no choice. It fits and works perfectly, I just hate that they price gouge. I'm talking about the manufacturer because the vendor has a good price, comparably speaking.

Very easy to install, and the mounting ring/pivot in its structure should make it very robust. Good buy!

Protect your optic

Added to my Trijicon MRO to protect the front objective. Wish these were just included standard. Installs fast and latches tightly.
