Great Training Harness
I used this harness as a training aid for my dog to transition to a full on mobility harness which she couldn't start working with until full grown with fuzed growth plates. The harness is well made, easy to put on and take off the dog, and with rings in all the right places. I picked this harness specifically because of the handle. This would allow an introduction to pulling and bracing work. The reason this harness is a 4-star and not a 5-star product? The patches. They're very cheap and poorly made. The edges unravel a bit, so you'd better fray-check them as soon as your harness arrives. The lettering is cheap iron-on lettering, not embroidery. I ended up making my own velcro on patches to replace the ones the harness came with. Additionally, the between the legs strap seems to be way too long. Even when my puppy had grown enough to be on the maximum girth adjustment, the legs strap was adjusted almost as small as it would go. It did fit, but a shorter strap would have improved the fit significantly. For what it's worth, I have a Portuguese Water Dog mix with rather narrow shoulders. Aside from the patch issues, it's a great harness and survived puppyhood training looking like new, less a bit of dirt of course. It's packed away until I'm training my next service dog puppy. I expect it to last through the training of several dogs now that I've gotten some better patches made up.

DT No Pull Harness
I have 2 Pitbull Terriers and a Dogo Argentino. All of my dogs have a very broad chest and the youngest, who is also the smallest, wants to pull and my two oldest go on double walks together. The Patches on the sides are great for giving visible info about the dog. There are options for "pet me" , " Adopt me", Caution, working dog, hands off. All great for when you are working with yout dog under different conditions. The DT No pull harness is less bulky than the DT "saddle" style harness, it also allows for more air flow. Living in Texas, it is important that my dogs do not overheat. This harness is awesome for all options: The D ring on the front - Hook your leash to that and the dog cannot pull. Sure (s)he will try but it just wont work! The D ring on the back - Hook your leash to this one and it is your standard harness The D rings on the side - Great for weight pull / work dogs - Distributes weight evenly. Pointers for sizing: When you are measuring your dog, make sure they are standing not sitting and go around the widest part of their rib cage, just behind their front legs. The Front chest strap is NOT adjustable like the DT saddle harness so If your dog is a smaller chested dog that is close to a size change (within a few inches) Get the smaller size and the Belt Size extender that DT offers. If not the harness will be baggy on the dog in the front and will allow for them to wiggle out.

Great.....but, not for us.
I have two smallish rescued basset hounds....bassets have a very deep chest, mid-sized girth behind the "armpits" which tapers very quickly, plus their necks are long with big heads. While this is a great harness for labradors, mastiffs and other large breed "beefy" dogs, not so good on a basset due to their shape. The girth is too tight and the chest is too loose making it possible for the harness to slide forward and over their legs....while I cannot fault the harness itself, the vendor claims it is good for a basset hound which it is clearly not unless I buy a smaller model and upgrade with a girth expander....not worth the effort of trying something that if I'll just have to return it too.

No true help at all
I am sending this back. I read the reviews, THOUGHT I knew what to expect, even ordered the thing sized smaller than indicated because of the reviews...which was a very good thing, it fit my 60lb 'puller' very well. However, like many harnesses I read up on, it rubbed my girl's armpits nearly raw from our 2 hour walk. 1) It should have a fleece type lining to keep the material from being so rough to a dog's under belly & legs 2) The buckles, while HUGE & easy to use, are poorly placed...w/ one right under the armpit where my dog hit it w/ her elbow & it must have pinched her when she hit it because she would jump a bit like she'd been shocked. 3) When she pulled, it would make her ALMOST turn to me, but is so bulky, it would mostly just 'bunch up' over her left shoulder & she could continue to pull me. I was very disappointed. And, again, I had gotten a size SMALLER than recommended because I read reviews. I went back to something we'd tried when she was a puppy, the Halti, w/ the nose strap (which IS lined in velvet). IT has been a miracle! While it didn't work for her 'fleshy' neck & shorter puppy snout, it now fits her perfectly (right up under her jaw & lightly across the nose)! It works so well I'm able to walk her w our new 40lb pup on a coupler! I'm in Heaven! We walk & jog, all 3 of us, together!! Very nice! Cannot recommend THIS harness, however.

Adjustable Dependable Sturdy Dog Harness with Many Ways to Connect
This is the second D&T Universal No Pull harness I've purchased - this time for my 41-lb Australian Cattle Dog. I purchased the size S and it fits his little fireplug body perfectly!!! I've used the first harness on my ACD/Mix for two years now, and it's held up with no problems and I know I can depend on it. You can't go wrong with this harness - and you can hook your leash to it four different places! I can't write enough about this completely adjustable harness - just make sure you've got the correct measurements (the Dean & Tyler web site has a video to help you out with that).

Great Harness,,,except for the patches.
This is a great harness and durable as can be. The patches are lame, though. The writing on them is some sort of rubber or latex that peels off very easily and makes it look very shabby. Patches are expensive, too!! Better patches would earn this harness a 5-star rating. Also on my dog, the strap that went between my dogs legs never fit right and was too long even when at the shortest possible arrangement. I use the harness without that strap and it works just fine. Please make better patches!!!
