Great replacement for my old worn sump pump

This unit replaced my old worn and tired sump pump on one side of the house. With minimal adjusting to the drain pipe, I had it in the pit and ready for to go. A few days later, we had a decent downfall and the pump handled it like a champ. I did have to adjust the float a bit as it wasn't playing nice against the pit wall, but that was my mistake when I put it in.

Bu Buy water

The pump appears to be well-made (cast iron) and works well. Pumps out the pit quickly and efficiently (using in a sump pit). Uses a float switch to activate so you do need a larger sump/sewage pit. My only complaint was that I cannot locate information on the warranty.

Heavy and, once placed, It Won't move.

I'm not using this as a sump pump, per se. My basement has been dry after the first couple years of living here and I', on my 27th year. However, it does get very humid and was causing mildew in my master bedroom where the basement is fully underground. I bought a dehumidifier to address the humidity but that required going downstairs every couple days to empty it or allow the humidity to rise. I ordered a different pump a half year or so that was working well but would drift in the large, 30 gallon I guess, trash can I placed the pump in. Occasionally, the pump would drift sideways, stopping the float from initiating the pump. I had to keep an eye on the humidity in the basement to look for it raising as the water sat there for days. This pump solves that issue. This cast iron pump is over 25 lbs and isn't moving anywhere once placed. The one I replaced was just over ten pounds. This one also has the outlet aiming straight up where the previous one came out the side and then up. All in all, this pump is perfect for my application. The only issue I had with it was the fact that it didn't come with any outlet adapters. A Male 1.5" NPT adapter was required and not being familiar with the NPT standard, I needed to do some research because the outlet it screwed into looked bigger than 1.5 inches, more like 1.75 or even larger when I measured it. I took a leap of faith and ordered one with the other end being 3/4" so I could use the existing garden hose to sent the water out and under my one deck. When i received it, my first thought was that it was too small but it fit perfect, I only mention this to save your time if you are fooled like I was. In a normal sump pump usage, you'd probably use a larger diameter exit hose to evacuate water quicker, particularly during a rainy period. Some of Vevor's pumps have the 1.5" adapters and even include a step down to 1.25" adapter included. For some reason this one doesn't so keep that in mind. Overall, I'm totally satisfied with this solution.

bought this pump 2/3/2023 and on 5/5/2023 not working

lasted 3 months used it nat more than 5 times about 10 minutes each time

Works efficiently

The media could not be loaded. For trying it out I used the bucket, however we got it to use in the backyard when it floods every year. It moves water out very quickly. Seems to be made from good quality materials, and built to last. Only thing we didn't notice til I jad it was does Not come with hose attachment but we got one

Fits in my pit and has enough power to get the job done

I was worried that it would be difficult for me to install this sump into my pit but it was really very easy. I was replacing a pump that stopped working. Since then it seems to be working just fine and I have had no basement floods.
