Not completely accurate but it works.

Instructions are detailed easy to read. Picks up courses as described, but randomly without touching blurts out distance to pin and changes yards to meters. Not happy with it, has potential.

Accurately measures to the center of the green.

Liked notification where hole tee area is reached. Like measuring the shot distance. Attaches to hat, can’t get lost. No green marker on this version.

I just wish that they could easily be repaired.

My wife is the golfer in the family; I'm the Amazon purchaser. She likes this so much that she's on her third. She typically plays golf twice a weak, and this voice-activated range finder lasts between two and three years, and then the small plastic hinge wears out. I suggest that the manufacturer provide the hinged part of its product, which would be easy for a user to replace. She always insists that I purchase another one of these devices after the previous one breaks. I've suggested that she try an optical range-finder, which would likely last much longer, but she says that she doesn't want to dig through her golf bag. She prefers the Voice Caddie, which she clips to her visor and simply presses the button to obtain an accurate distance from the hole. As they say, if Momma Ain't Happy; Nobody's Happy. So this Papa is happy when her golfing wife is happy!

simple and precise

I love this caddie. this is my 2nd one - the first one i had for 4 years and somehow lost it. It's easy to use! Charge it at home and when you get to the golf course, turn it on and it will search for the course and alert you when (s)he finds it. One tap in the center will tell you the distance to the center of the green. a double tap will tell you the distance to the front and back of the green. After you hit a great tee shot, you can press and hold the caddie for about 2 seconds and it will tell you it's measuring the shot distance. Once you arrive to your ball, press and hold the caddie for about 2 seconds until it says "the shot distance is...." you don't have to go directly to your ball for it to measure the distance.

Would give it 10 stars if I could

I have owned every type of golf GPS out there; the gun, the watch, the binoculars, etc. and each of those cost 2-3x more than this one (or more) and died after a couple/few years. This little guy has been by my side for many years and is by far my favorite. Do read the directions first and keep them handy as you learn to use this, and do charge with a wall plug and NOT with your computer and you should be happy. I am a 18-20 hcp and average about 3 rounds a week year-round and I truly only need to know the distance to the middle of green, although this one will also measure to front and back if you ask it to. It recognizes every course I have ever played in several states; it is accurate; and although it might have a couple of quirks, like you have to take it past the men's tee or it won't recognize the hole, it has never failed me. I lost my first purchase when I left my visor with this clipped on it in a restaurant in Canada several years ago and I recently purchased my third one (all this same model) as a spare because I do not want to be without it, ever. I have gifted it and recommended it to others and everybody that owns it loves it. I highly recommend it unless you need something that will tell you distance to a creek/tree/etc. in which case you will need to spend a lot more money.

Great for those “cart path only” days

Very easy to use. Great for muni golf courses without GPS and for “cart path only” holes. I still use my range finder if I need to be more precise in certain situations. For such an unobtrusive device that you can wear on your hat, not bad at all! Battery lasts more than 2 rounds. Detects the golf courses as soon as you turn it on. If you hit your ball into the wrong fairway, you’r on your own.

Took a bit for me to figure out how to correctly use it out but once I did it’s very easy to use. Love it! Have requested the addition of a golf course not currently available - hopefully they will add it soon.

The best ever.

This small device has much more than met expectations it has surpassed them. When switched on it quickly finds the Course and is always ready before I am on the difficulty first Tee. It is accurate when compared with other players much more expensive equipment and ofcoursa I do not need my reading glasses.. The Voice Caddie has never just the satellite or got stuck on the wrong hole as Garmon watch does. Really happy with my new friend.
