Super strong magnet

I dropped a 3/8 husky torque wrench in a 4” underground stub up full of water inside of a switch gear. I tied/taped this to a fishtape and was able to pull the torque wrench through the sweep 90 degree elbow and out of the conduit. I got my money’s worth just with that alone. Oh and it also finds stud screws.

Best Basic Stud Finder

No frills, no batteries, no hassle design. Will not find plumbing or electric wires in the wall for you, but great consistent way to find screws in the drywall that indicate the stud position. Just works and the level is adjustable. It comes in handy when portability is a factor. Plastic construction is sturdy and has a loop that allows me to put a loop through it and clip it to my tool belt. Love it.

Level not straight

The stud finder works perfectly. Way more accurate than the one on my electric one. In my opinion, these magnetic ones are the best. However, I have another brand at my other house and the level in it is straight, this one came crooked. Granted, I'm probably going to use an actual level (or more likely my laser level) but it still shows a lack of quality control with this product and I have used the level in my other magnetic stud finder on occasion but I didn't notice until after I opened this so I'll just keep. Just kind of bugs me.

Using on ICF wall to find drywall screws.

Works good. In ICF wall there is no wood or steel studs. This becomes very handy to locate stud quickly in ICF wall by finding drywall screw. Also if I want to hang something attached directly to wooden stud I would rather use this over electronic finder. Just seem more precise, it finds screw exactly where it is, electronic finder has some play.

So simple, yet completely effective

I had difficulty with an electronic stud finder working on plaster walls, this gave this magnet a try. In less than a minute, I realized that this magnet was way more effective for my needs.
