So comfortable!

I bought this for a friend who had been using an old flexi with a cord. When I recently volunteered to give her dog a walk, I got tangled in the cord a few time, which was a bit frightening. Here’s a reminder to others out there that are using a cord-style leash - it’s not safe!! I couldn’t bear to think about her using her old leash going forward, and it felt like the time to upgrade, so I surprised her with. Wigzi. She’s constantly raving about how the gel handle is so much more comfortable compared to her old one, and I feel so much better knowing the tape-style leash is such a safer option for her and her dog!

Updated - Customer Service Came Thru

First report: Product did not hold up; lasted less then 60 days, leash no longer retracts. Don't recommend, tried contacting customer service without a response. HAPPY TO CHANGE REVIEW TO satisfied - while no one returned my call or email, a new leash did show up in the mail this week to replace the faulty product previously reported to customer service.

Love it

I burnt my hand over 4 decades but stil any repetitive movement bothers me which is the reason why I got the gel leash. I love the gel in the handheld part, I love the retractability. The reflectibility is not so great but I love the rest. This is my 5 leash every 1.5-2 yrs I’ve to replace it.

Comfort

I needed these for my arthritic hands! They are a God send!

Most comfortable handle

Maybe we were hard on these,but they don’t last more than 4 months. We went through 3 in a year. Sand seemed to be the common denominator. That said, these were the most comfortable grip we came across.

Comfortable grip

Nice leash. Soft grip. Fits my husband’s hand nicely. Kids like it too. Lock function is straightforward,no messing around. We have two and plan on getting another as a back up.

Worked great until it didn't

I have a Jack Russell who's a real ball of fire. I bought this leash and was pretty happy with it for almost a year. Then one night I was walking him and the leash lock stripped out. He pulls hard and sometimes will dart off after a cat. I'm not having the same problem with the latest leash that I bought. We'll see as time goes by. If you have a well-behaved dog that does not stretch the limits of the leash you'll probably be happy with this one. Very comfortable grip.

wont lock

Bought for my own business as a pet sitter so walk a lot of dogs. I looked at a lot of different ones & decided on this one as it has a gel grip, arrived on time & used the next day, very comfortable to hold but unfortunately after about 2 weeks when trying to stop the leader from extending it would not lock easily, which after another couple of uses, won't lock at all. Will be going back to flexi lead now as leader is no good.

Super leash and a great company to deal with

I recently had an issue with this item and Phyllis at Shadow River Superstore could not have been more helpful. I really liked the item as it was comfortable to use and so when Phyllis offered me a full refund or a replacement I readily accepted the replacement. Phyllis was superb and followed all of this up until I had received the replacement. Cannot rate highly enough. Thank You again Phyllis

gel handle nice and comfy

bought blue one for for old dog. gel handle nice and comfy, and needed something for a dog coming up 15 who thinks he is still 5. yeah the locking mechanism isn't fabulous and the tape a bit annoying if it isn't smooth and won't retract but no biggy. Love how the instructions tell you not suitable for dog if it not trained well and likely to pull arm out of socket.

Soft handles

My husband has grip problems with nodules in his palms. These leads are excellent as they are big enough for his large hands and the grips soft enough to not be too painful for him. Bought a blue and red as we have two Westies, Gwen and Merlin.
