Very lightweight color, stays on for hours
There are some minor issues with this lip color, but overall I really love it. It's a really intense color that dries fast and feels like absolutely nothing on your lips once its dry! I got "Vim" which is a deep, dark red/purple, so dark in fact that I like to wear a little red or purple lip liner to draw out the color, otherwise it looks very, very, very dark (this is good, don't get me wrong - I love dark). It feels much nicer on than most other brands of matte lipcolor, but I still like to smear a little moisturizing gloss over it because what can I say, I love gloss. The issues are minor. 1) It does not apply very evenly, unless you are very careful while applying. You'd be best off exfoliating your lips first, then applying in front of a mirror - don't do it like me & just grab it out of your purse & apply without looking, because you'll regret it, haha! 2) it stays on a very very VERY long time, which is great, but it also mysteriously transfers onto absolutely everything - you will know which coffee cup/wine glass/beer can is yours alllllll night long. That's really about it, I still love it & wear it almost every day!

Not so Great
I was disappointed by this lipstick. The “velvet” is a dark, dark red-purple as one would expect and the hue is perfectly fine. The problem is that the consistency of the liquid is so thick and so drying, that it operates more like a lip stain than a moisturizing lipstick. It’s less a “soft matte”, as the description states, and more a “hard cement”. Honestly, it’s a shame since the color is pretty good and true to the package. Putting it on (not to mention getting it off or touching it up!) is difficult and the end result is a strange crackly layer that doesn’t look attractive. Do not recommend!

I like it!
I actually didn't really look at the description on this before I tried it, but the first thing I thought when I applied it was how velvety it felt. So it's definitely accurate that it says "velvet" in the title! I tend to shy away from matte lip products because I have aging skin and they can be rather drying. I didn't have any trouble with this drying out my lips, but the downside is that it does transfer onto things, it does not set completely.(SEE photo) But it does have pretty good stayability! I still had pigment on my lips after eating and drinking etc. I did not have any issues with it getting all over my teeth. One downside is that you really might consider using a liner with this because it's a bit of a challenge to apply it evenly and not smudge outside your lip line.

Great velvety feel--like it's not there
I have three pictures--one with my naked lips, one with the lipstick and one with the color wiped on a paper towel. First, I love the feel of this lipstick. I mistakenly took the picture right after applying. It's not that "wet" looking once it dries. It's very matte, but not to the point that it looks powdery dry. Honestly, with the color being so close to my natural lip color, once this dries and "sets" you would barely know I had lipstick on at all. It just looks my lips are a more even color. LOL I usually put on two coats, about a minute apart for a little more color saturation. And when I wipe it off--sometimes many hours later--after getting my horse out and riding and spending time in the outdoors with her, and then eating and drinking and an hour drive with stops on the way (through which the lipstick stays on perfectly)-- I am always surprised at how deep the color looks on my napkin! Again, the pic is just a light coat, freshly applied and then wiped off. Usually I get more intense color on the paper towel.

Glossy and Long-Lasting!
Zing products are wonderful! The colors that they offer are beautiful and go with any skin palette because you can choose to put it on and leave the bold color, or you can decide to blend it for a more subtle shade of color. They also don’t offer a huge variety of color range, so all of the products I have gotten in this line mix and match beautifully. This lip color is very velvety feeling and is quite bold - which is what I was hoping for when I chose it. It stayed on for hours, and my lips feel very soft and never dried out. I did apply more gloss after a few hours of wear but the color stayed true. I will definitely continue to use it as part of my routine and recommend it to others, as well!

Long-Wearing, Nice Color
This was my first experience with the Zing brand, and they seem to make a decent product. I received this in the Charm color, which read on my lips and with my complexion as a medium rose color. It's nice. It gives me a bit of color but isn't too intense or crazy. The packaging is nice, and the applicator is what you'd expect - nothing too unusual. I found the formula to be fairly light and the pigmentation IS rich and saturated. What I'd call them out on is the whole "moisturizing" claim. I found that this was fairly typical to this kind of lip stain/long wearing lip stick. That does not resonate "moist" to me. I think if they had just billed the long-wearing part, they'd be better served. They do a nice job with that!

Good Staying Power
Comes in a nice black container. Has an easy to use applicator. Stain is highly pigmented and velvety smooth going on the lips. Goes on like a stain/gloss and finishes with a matte look. Loved it initially going on, liked the feel of it. The color is rich and vivid and looks good on the lips. Looks like it has good staying power for all day wear and requires minimal re-application. I received a darker color, the Savy tint and it has a bit of a mauve/brown appearance. I like it but would've preferred a shade/tint a bit lighter, though I do like this look too. I'd recommend this if you want a lipstick that stays on well and looks good throughout the day.
