Large and well built solid toy. Entertaining and fun. One minor design flaw

Build quality: The build quality is great. The box is constructed of solid plywood. The painted surfaces and pieces all look great and have no flaws. There aren't any gaps, sharp or rough edges or any quality issues to speak of. The activity cube is pretty well balanced and bottom heavy and doesn't tip easily. The quality of this activity cube exceeded my expectations Assembly The only thing a bit tricky was realizing there is a cardboard box with an hex wrench inside the toy (reach through the hole under the penguin to access it -- See picture 2). Once found you just use it to remove 4 bolts from the top, flip it and then tighten back down. Use/age 12 month is a great starting age for this but the toy can provide entertainment and stimulus for quite a while after that. We used this with out nephew (just under 12 mo) and he was amazed by all the colors and "things" to grab, pull and play with. It was apparent there was a lot of room to grow with this toy and it was a real pleaser for him. Minor Flaw While a toddler will likely not notice for a long time... The "race" game (pictures 5,6) has 5 starting positions on the left and 5 finish position on the right. There is no way to get one of the fish/crabs into position #5 and #1 at the same time. Final thoughts: This is an excellent high quality, well made toy that will last a while and provide a lot of entertainment. We highly recommend it.

Great find!

This thing is so cool, and much bigger than expected. It's almost two feet tall when assembled. Speaking of assembly, a little bit is required but it's a breeze. It's 4 screws with an Allen wrench - the top comes attached upside down with instructions and the tool. The whole thing took me less than two minutes. The activity cube itself is very well constructed. Mostly wood with some plastic and metal parts. No issues with little ones getting bored with this thing, there are activities on each side. Obviously built to last, I expect this to entertain our kids for years to come. Then we can probably store it in the attic for the future grandkids. This is a great value for money and a great find!

2 year old grandson loves it

This was a big hit for my two year old grandson. He played intently with this for 20 - 30 minutes at a time. It is very easy to put together - even for this not-very-handy grandma! It is designed well - and will certainly be something that he can explore and enjoy for some time to come. I like that it is wooden, painted in muted colors (still bright enough to be eye catching, but not obnoxious) and easy for him to play with independently.

Fun toy

This toy is pretty big and heavy. My daughter is learning to pull her self up and the toy could fall over on her so I make sure and hold it down. It’s nice there is a hole on one side for the shapes to go in and I just put my foot there to hold it down. All of the toys are very fun to play with. My daughter loves the cogwheels and the mirror the best. When you receive the item, there is a box inside that contains the screwdriver and shapes. I used a disinfecting wipe on the toy before I let my daughter use it, and some of the blue paint came off on the wipe. It’s a really well built toy and I would recommend it.

Large and Well Constructed

This is much bigger than I expected and really well constructed. It was easy to put together and my baby was interested right away. Recommended for 12+ months but my 9-month-old loves playing with the bead maze, practicing standing and cruising on the sides, and playing with the spinning sides. The only thing I’d change would be the shape sorting side, I would’ve rather it had something more unique and interactive since I’m sure we’ll lose the wooden shapes (or at least include more than 4 shape blocks) and we already have other shape sorting toys. Overll very happy with the "Amazon Basics FSC Certified Wooden Activity Learning Cube".

Adorable

I’ve got a tiny house guest coming and wanted to at least have a toy or two around for him. This activity cube came very well packed. I was a bit surprised when it arrived and I saw that the top was just flat. It took me a minute to see that the top piece needed to flipped over. It’s shipped with the top maze piece inboard so it’s not damaged. A hex key is included and I flipped it upright quickly. The piece itself is very smooth. The colors are great for young mind without being obnoxious. The corners are rounded as we all know how important that is! I’m very much looking forward to seeing him play with this during his visit.

Made well with lots of activities to keep kids entertained

Great quality activity cube! I've always wanted one of these for my kids and this thing is pretty cool. It is big. It is also primarily all wood and stays in place when kiddos are playing with it. This is really good for when they are already sitting up and more aware of their surroundings. Fairly simple to put together and also disassemble for storage. Everything works really smoothly. Of all the baby shower gifts I got, this would have been such a cool one to receive.

Great For All Ages

Both my 2.5 year old and my 10 month old absolutely love playing with this. It is made almost entirely of wood and is very sturdy and heavy my 10 month old uses it to pull herself up without it tipping over. Assembly was easy enough to do without the instructions. I opened the box upside down and didn't find the instructions until everything was put together and I was thinking it was weird there weren't any. The wrench to tighten the screws. It was inside the small cardboard box with the wooden shapes. My only complaint is that I wish there were more shapes included for the shape sorter side. We only received one of each of the 4 shapes. It would have been nice to have multiples of each. Overall, I would definitely buy this again.
