Item was as advertised. Arrived on time in excellent condition. Great, high quality, basic set of scratchboard tools. Tools are very well made. Will be using for sgrafitto effects with oil pastels.

Works well

I’m late on reviews but I already used this product and it worked well for the art project I used it for. It still holds in quality if I work to do more scratchboard projects.

Since I have used these tools before but had bought them from another company I was happy to see the tools mentioned here to be the same quality.

It's okay.

I don't think you need to pay much for this product. I tried to use all tools, but later I only used the scratch knife. I worked with Ampersand Scratchboard. I wonder I can upload my piece.

Ampersand Clayboard Tool Kit

If you plan to plan to plan to learn scratchboard you must use the correct tools.This is an art that requires few tools,but you must use the correct tools and the right clayboard and this all you need to start. It would help to buy some type of instruction and I would highly suggest Sally Maxwells series of books with patterns,scratchboards,and easy instructions to begin if you are really interested in learning.You will save money and know if you like the art.

Not good if you intend to continue

Ampersand is a beginners set. Not good if you intend to continue. The plastic holder for the nibs is cheap and does not hold the nibs firmly. I was totally disappointed at the quality for the cost. I have ended up using clay forming tools from college as my best choice. Replacement blades are essential and not mentioned or offered. :(
