Durability

Filter traps large amount of dirt. Problem is that the filter does not hold up very well tends to fall apart after several cleanings.

Amazing! They definitely catch more particle debris than my existing filter pad

I purchased these to aid in cleaning my ponds of annoying floating algae. I am using it as a pre-filter on top of my existing filter pad. They definitely catch more particle debris than my filter pads I already have. In conjunction with ceramic rings, barley bales, and a UV filter I am seeing progress already. Update : after 4 weeks with a Uv filter and these filter pads.... I have removed all the particle algae and the very fine sand that was impossible to get out of the water! The photos are before and after photos. You can even read the label on the uv filter now... Haha I can't say enough about these filter pads... Amazing!

Does a fine job!

I know, a review on filter pads?! But these are actually really nice. I purchased them to cut down and use as a top layer of mechanical filtration in our filter falls unit on our pond. (Bio pad and bio balls are under it, and this pad is on top as a fines filter that I can access easily). Our pond is located under trees, and in the Spring, tannins/pollen fall into the pond with the rain. This pad cleared it right up within a day! I rinse and reuse the pads several times before retiring them, and they consistently keep our pond crystal clear.

Worked fast and worked very well

Worked very quickly in conjunction with the flocculant to clear up our 21,000 gallon swim pond. Huge difference in the matter of days. Easy to clean and seem durable so far. So happy with our results

Awesome filters - Crystal clear water!

I tried several things, including regular filter media, bio filter, and chemicals to clean up the cloudy water. I had lots of tiny dead algea particles in the water. These filters are awesome. The water went from being cloudy to Crystal clear in a day. These filters trap so many fine particles that at first I cleaned them a few times per day. Now that the pond is clear, I clean them weekly with a hose. I use them with regular filter media to tap the bigger particles first then these filters just before the pump. BUY these - you won't be disappointed.

Excellent choice

I rewash every morning. Durable and removes sediment. I use it without the rapid clean chemical that darken my pond immediately. Now with activated charcoal and a daily wash of these pads, my pond is recovering. Using these ore pads do not lower your pump flow.

It works!

Bought in conjunction with Rapid Clear liquid to clean green cloudy water in pond. Filter was shipped before the Rapid Clear. Worked so well, I didn't need the Rapid Clear. I just stuck it in the filter basket around the sides and bottom and hosed it off once a day. In about 3-4 days, the pond was clear!

Great pre-filter for outdoor Koi pond

I bought this as a pre-filter for our outdoor Koi pond. It helps clear up the dreaded green algae fairly well and works for it's intended purpose. You will have to clean it off every few days, at least once a week but that is the price for clear water!

Good extra filtration

Really good for added filtration in aquascape spillover fountain. Just cut to size. I’ve actually hosed it off a couple of times now and used again...suspect 4-5 uses out of a pad is decent!

Great at polishing water

When used with KOI clay it cleared up a nasty algae bloom in under a week. Had to rinse twice daily it was catching so much. Fits Laguna skimmer/falls perfectly.
