Similar, but not the same

I bought one of these several years ago and it was the perfect weight. It finally gave out and I replaced it with what I thought was the same. The rope is a bit lighter than my old one, that's why I am only giving it 3 stars.

Go for GoFit

Great weight for a jump rope and durable. It's heavier than those super thin speed ropes, but it's still a good rope for double-unders.

Great Jump Rope

I really like this jump rope. it is very light weight and even though I am 6' 2" the length works well.

Breaks

Breaks after intense use (note: intense use that other ropes do just fine with.. intense use is not abuse). I received a second one and had the same problem. Simply grazing your nail along the rope is enough to see some come off (appears under your nail, that's how soft the rope material is). I've learned to look for wire ropes coated in plastic now.

Easy to use!

Just Alright But Not Worth The Price

I got this GoFit speed rope this morning and have tested it out for a few minutes. It turns smoothly enough and I think it's a good cheap-o rope for me who is just starting to take up rope-jumping again since childhood! It came bunched up in a plastic package so I soaked the rope part it in very hot water for a few minutes and put my foot on the center of it, brought the handles together and gave it a pull and held it for a few seconds, which straightened it. I'm 5'3" so it was a bit long for me. I easily trimmed the solid core rope (you can take cap off a handle and adjust it that way. The grips slide off in case you're wondering) with a knife. It does get a bit stiff in the cold (-2°C here). I have small hands and the handles are comfortable (I keep the grips on). What I'm unsure about is its durability. After only a few jumps on my concrete garage floor, the center of the rope is showing wear/abrasions! I don't think the simple toy rope that I had when I was 10 showed this much wear after two school terms with daily use in the cement schoolyard! I picked this because it was the most economical rope with bearings that I could find on here. It's ok in general, but I wouldn't buy this again unless it's $2 because of the immediate wear.

届いたばかりでまだ使用していませんが、「製品の特徴」の記述と製品は違います。長さは2.7ｍとありますが、実際は2.5メートルとなっています。他の製品と比べると少し短い感じがします。背の高い人は注意しましょう。また、携帯用円筒ケースというのは付いていません。商品名は合っているようなので誤配ではないのでしょうが…。

トレーニング用縄跳び

持ち手の部分は汗をかいても持ちやすく、しかも適度な太さがあり、特殊なグリップ構造のおかげできれいに周りしかも縄跳びを飛んでいる時のビュンビュンという独特の音がなり飛んでいる時、気持ちがいいです。しかし前の方のレビューであるように、縄の長さが説明よりも短く背が高い人は回る際に縄を頭にぶつけるかもしれないです、しかも普通の縄跳びより縄が太く硬いため当たると結構痛いです。グリップが太くて、小さい子供の手には持ちづらい点や縄が普通の縄跳びよりも重いため回らなかったり、ミスして顔や頭にぶつけた時に危ない点など考えると、子供には使えないので★２つです。
