Used it to replace my pool pump

used to replace my 1.5 HP pool pump. It came with 2 inch, and 1.5 inch fittings, however, everything necks down to 1.5 inches at the entrance to the pump and exit from the pump. I managed to break the 2 inch fitting by overtightening it (be careful, that surprised me), but used the 1.5 inch fitting instead. Not what I planned, but it worked.

this is an above ground pool pump

garbage pump can't handle head pressure at all I do not recommend this pump at all

Seems to be fine so far.

Liked that pipe connectors were included for various size plumbing. Annoying that 2 different size sockets were needed to make the electrical connections. Also it should have had a little more space between the terminals. Also like the method of switching

Great pump

Our old pool pump broke so we tried to talk to professionals about replacing I . They gave us estimate for 1800$! My husband said no way we paying that and bought this pump for 200$ . :) Installed himself and cannot be happier. Absolutely perfect. Better suction then previous. No switch to lower voltage tho

Easy to install

Only issue I had with installation was the tiny screws but otherwise, it was pretty easy. I had a little guidance via phone call from a friend who is an electrician but was able to hook it up myself. I've only had it a couple weeks, but so far so good.

Defective pump

After re-installing all the plumbing to install the pump, I discovered that it would run for approximately one minute, cut off for approximately 5 minutes, then repeat the cycle. Explained the problem to the vendor and returned the pump, only to discover I was charged a restocking fee. Why charge me for a restocking fee for a defective pump unless it was to be put back on the shelf to sell it to someone else?

Doesn't last

I bought this pump and installed it 8 months ago. It worked great at first. But after about 4 months it was moving less water. Now, it doesn't even move enough to skim the pool. Bought the Assurion warranty and they say it's not eligible. Don't believe the flow rate advertised.

Didn't last 2 days

Didn't understand a motor with 2 different inputs on the same terminals. I previous motor was 220V so I used it on the 220 side. Also didn't like not having a off to the switch. Ran for a while and shut down, few minutes later it would start up and shut down. Got very hot as well.
