Digging this multi tool

It's easy to use and stays charged for a good minute. The only thing that I didn't like about this purchase was that it came all scratched up (it could've been refurbished or a previous return) and the box was damaged. I will be paying taxes on this in the near future, but if I was a regular customer / paid full price for this, as opposed to getting this as a reviewer, I would've been really upset.

Nice battery operated oscillating tool

The tool works just fine and comes with a wood cutting attachment, metal cutting attachment, and a detail sanding attachment with several sandpaper pieces. I have 3 tools from this line from Black and Decker, all are set up the same with internal batteries and a plug into the base of each tool. The line would serve better with removeable batteries so that they can extend the working time for each tool with additional batteries. So, with it's current configuration, this is useful for occasional small project use around the house. I like the toolless operation of changing the blades/attachments, was easy to operate and adjust the attachment directions.

Pretty good performance, proprietary charger

Interesting new series of rechargeable tools, this oscillating tool works as well as can be expected. You won't be using it all day since the batteries are fixed, when you're out you have to take a break to recharge. The reused plastic does the job but scuffs very easily, in fact my unit was so scuffed out of the box that it looked used, but that's purely cosmetic. One star deduced for using a charger with a proprietary connector - I'd much rather see a USB-C connector, but that would certainly drive the price up. As is sits, still a lot of bang for the buck.

Single Speed For Small Projects Only

I use a professional oscillator on a daily basis. I've also owned a Fein Mulitmaster before their patent ran out and other manufacturers began making their own version. An oscillator is a wonderful tool that no other tool can duplicate as well for certain situations. However I do find that a variable speed is important for being able to cut a variety of materials. Lower speeds don't cut some materials like asphalt shingles and higher speeds can heat up others like plexiglass. This "Reviva" series one cuts at what I would consider to be a "medium" speed and is best suited for soft woods and hardwoods. It can also cut soft metals like copper and aluminum. With the right blades it works good. It is a simplified tool and doesn't have a removable battery to contend with. It comes with its own proprietary charging cable with a 2 pin keyed plug. Don't loose the charger or you won't be able to use the tool. Some of the other "Reviva" series tools use other charging cables and may not necessarily be compatible. I think the whole "Reviva" lineup is meant to be a beginner's tool set, offering simple operation and greater safety in lieu of higher end performance. They are priced as such and I'm going to give this one 4 stars considering. For the occasional use this will work perfectly fine for most situations.

Nice cordless multi purpose tool for DIY work

Ordered this tool kit for some DIY work. I like its cordless and tool free to change different blades. It works well for my little projects. But I have to say it is not as strong as my other corded tools. I just used it for couple of times. Once I figured out its durability and battery life I may update my review.

Nice tool

The media could not be loaded. You need a lot of hand strength to change out the blades. It takes me 2 or more tries to get the blade installed and again to remove it. The body is a pretty large diameter for my hand. With bare hands, it is also slippery. I really like the rechargeable battery for convenience. The oscillator only has one speed. I cut a notch out of 2 x 4 with no problem at all. The tool works great. I also used the sanding disk to remove paint from a small area. It’s a handy tool for DIY projects around the house. Just wish it was a smaller diameter and had an easier way to switch out the attachments.

Fairly quiet when cutting

The media could not be loaded. The BLACK+DECKER reviva 12V MAX Multi Tool is respectable when it comes to the power output. I was able to cut through pine wood with average effort. While cutting this multi tool was not very loud. It wasn't whisper quiet but I didn't feel the need to put on hearing protection. While this tool has good weight to it, I would say it feels good in the hands and there are some ergonomic considerations to it. I am able to get a good secure grip on this tool while using it.
