Prevents burning of fingers

Spending the day on the water stripping fly line with streamers or bass flies can be rough on your fingers. These finger buffs work great to prevent the burn or fatigue on the fingers.

Ok, but boy it has a big seam

I brought these to protect a finger during weight lifting. The item is comfortable and somewhat protective. Unfortunately it has a large seam where the fabric is sewn together. Considering what they are being used for, it should at the least be a flat seam, it is not. I think they could be improved with no seam or flat and taped seam.

Great protection for strip-setting, but do not last long

Strip guards are very awesome if your line has dirt or sand on it! I cannot rate lower than a 4 star just for that. Strip-setting on many fish a day can make line cut into your fingers and ruin the day then take days to heal! For someone that fishes 4 days a week, these come in handy! However, the material these are made of does not last very long in Sandy or dirt areas wade fishing. I'm only getting a few hard days out of one in the pack before they are destroyed!

Finger saver.

Slick material. Edges curl though (no big problem). Definetly wash after use. I used the same one for a few days. My finger smelled like mildew, as the cloth did to. It comes from stripping a wet line. But as they come it 3 pack change them out as needed. It precents finger burn and digging into your finger. Slides across finger quiter than finger. Its recomended for stripper and lager type fishing. 8wt and up. There are 3 per pack all same style. If u like'em definitely try the Simms brand. Those are top notch. I buy 2 or three packs, since I'm pressed by time, to go fishing. Being ready on the water is a necessity. I can't afford to waste time. Busy work life. Thus the need for buying 2 or 3 packs. ???? Finally, adequate protection

I’ve purchased prior stripping guards and gloves, only to have my finger exposed at the top knuckle which is where my fly line falls most of the time. These guards cover most of my finger, including above the top knuckle. In hindsight a white camo pattern is not best cosmetically after serious use but I care much more about performance.

Takes some getting use to, but works great.

Got these to try out when surf fishing and throwing heavy baits with a spincast using braid. Feels a bit weird at first but after a few casts, you don't really notice it anymore. Was able to throw 6-10oz (bait + weight) without the fear of getting cut. I like that it is easily removable too.

Great & Lightweight

These are great and glad they supply 3. Thin material and not too thick. They don't restrict mobility in finger. Will buy again when they need replacing.
