More Chic than the Regular White Orthopedic Collars
I've been dealing with cervical spondylosis, pinched nerves, stenosis, bone spurs, etc since I was a teen. No amount of physical therapy, traction, chiropractor, Alexander Technique, yoga, regular massage, etc. takes away the chronic migraines and limited range of motion. While doctors are always warning me against wearing cervical collars on a regular basis, after forty years of this, I find I have to wear them when going to the movies & theatre, travelling while having to carry heavy things, etc. I was very happy to find this Releaf collar. In the winter, I wear it instead of a scarf, and it keeps me warm. I don't know how it will be in the summer, but I will have to cut up some cotton socks to make covers that are easy to wash. The collar sits much more easily at the base than the regular orthopedic collars. I'm not sure the height is exactly right, as I have gotten some bruising along the bottom of my jaw. The fit is not as great at the rear of the collar, as others have mentioned. The collar needs to be a couple inches longer to fully surround the neck, instead of having a space where only the velco strap is stretching. Still, I'm happy to see innovation in this department. Neck problems are chronic and tedious to deal with, and one doesn't always want to have to talk to every single person who sees your white brace and asks what's wrong. It's a relief to wear the Releaf and not stick out like an accident victim.

Effective, comfortable and attractive neck support
I keep ordering more of these, because friends with neck problems try mine and want to keep them. It has a soft, comfortable feel against the body and the chin. It holds the head upright but still lets you turn your head and look up and down as needed. Then it softly puts it back in upright position. Excellent for long overnight flights. Washable and it doesn't look bad, either.

Not for head support during flight but...
I bought this product to replace my Trtl Plus thinking that it is less bulky to carry around. It is easier (lighter and smaller footprint) than my Trtl Plus, BUT it does not provide the head support that I need when sitting upright during a flight. I guess my head is too big and heavy. BUT I have since found a different use for it. I use it while sleeping. This then keeps my mouth closed when asleep and am snoring a LOT less. My dry mouth due to snoring and breathing through the mouth has been cured. I wear this over a cotton bandana that's wrapped around my neck.

Very supportive but the sizing is too small:
I ordered the black Caldera Relief Neck Brace because several reviews said it was suitable to wear during the night. While I find it to be both supportive and lightweight, the sizing is not accurate. It is very small. I have a slim 13 inch neck and the velcro barely overlaps by a 1/2 inch for closure in the back of my neck. It's a tight fit and that exposes at least 1 1/2 inches of velcro scratching at the back of my neck rather than providing a full circle of padded support. In examining the Caldera it looks like one end is chopped off- the end with the velcro strap. I compared it to a professionally fitted collar that I purchased from a medical supply store in a medium size. The padded portion of THAT one meets in the back and the velcro OVERLAPS the opposite padded end completely making a comfortable closure. The ad doesn't explain sizing but the photos show the brace completely encircling the neck with no large gap in back. However, the sizing on the box is all wrong (It says a regular/medium fits up to a 15 inch neck), or, the one I received was marked wrong. It could only fit a child properly.

Relief...finally
I have terrible terrible chronic pain. It stems from my neck and then it pinches a nerve and then it tenses every muscle in my body. When I have a flare up it's extreme. I've been using one of those inflatable neck traction devices. Although it brings me relief it also makes me still feel tense. When I put this brace on I felt relaxed. It's not too tight. It's soft. And I don't feel constricted. I simply feel supported and relieved. I'm really really thankful that I ordered this. I'm not sure why anyone would give it less than five stars unless it just doesn't fit them right. I've used the standard neck braces before and they're very uncomfortable for me. They push my teeth together too much that I can't relax. There's just enough movement that I can move my jaw. I also can't eat food or drive in the standard neck braces. I could do both with this neck brace. Loving it!

No more miserable neck pain, even with the most awkward airlines seat.
Neck injuries have plagued me for years, and flights have given me neck pain that has nearly ruined more than one vacation. I would have a hard time counting the number of neck rests I've purchased to help with this problem. The few times I've thought I had one that worked, the next plane we've used had seats shaped in such a different way that the neck rest didn't work at all. The two problems seem to be 1. a rest that allowed my head to drop to the side when I fall asleep, and 2. strange head rests on plane seats actually force my head forward and, without chin support, my head would drop forward. Both cause me a lot of pain. I've even used medical neck braces but I've learned it has to fit perfectly or it causes its own problem. RELEAF neck brace is THE answer for me. I've never had such comfort. It has some flexibility so it doesn't become a traction brace, (not good at all for long flights) and yet it has support both for the side and for the front. I wanted to stand up on the flight and say to all these poor people with their heads in all sorts of miserable positions "Hey, you need to get one of these! They are GREAT!" Others have stated that the large worked better even though their neck measurement fit the reg. I purchased both and found that the reg was a better fit. My neck measures 1" below the max for the reg.

Not for me but may work for some
Not comfortable at all. This keeps your head up high, which is the point so it works well in that area. It is tight however and puts pressure on your throat which made me feel panicky as I am claustrophobic. I couldn't wear it for long. I am not an overly big girl. I'm a size 14 and would say I have a neck that follows that size just for comparison. It is a nice material that feels nice against your skin however.
