My second purchase. I will replace with the same when needed. Good cushion, grip, price. Chks all the boxes.

Composition has changed since the 1990’s, but still good.

Seems like there is far more rubber than cork in this handlebar tape in 2023, as opposed to the 1990’s. I appreciate the finishing tape is far better than what used to come in the box. Still grippy and much easier to wrap than I remember.

Not sticky enough

I really have always liked cinelli products but have also always found that there is not nearly enough adhesive to keep everything down. It’s very frustrating to keep having to readjust it and re-wrap it or have to engineer ways around it staying. For a brand like this at this price point I don’t feel like that should have to happen- but I still really like the design so I keep using cinelli…. lol

Good Cork Tape, End Tape Sucks

As in the headline, the actual cork tape itself is great. I'll occasionally replace it because I got the white and it gets grimy faster than the other colors, but the cork tape itself is pretty good. End tape isn't great though. I'd just use electrical tape for end tape.

Easier than you think.

First time i have replaced tape. I usually let the bike shop do it. Time will tell on the quality of install but seemed pretty easy after watching videos. The only thing i had trouble with was getting the end taper cut right, i left it long on case i have to redo. I though the Cinelli tape might be too thin but is thicker than was hoping for and super happy with the feel, no breaking issues. I'll be replacing bar tape more often now.

Great tape!

I'v used Cinelli Cork tape for years. A great tape that gives you some padding without being excessive. Price point is good considering you can pay a lot more for some tapes that don't provide you with any more value.

I need to buy a spare box to stash away

So I'm modernizing a 40 year old Trek 736 road bike and I replaced the original narrow and deep drop road handlebars for a more modern "gravel bike" bar that's wider, less drop, and flared out. FWIW I bought the PRO Discover Big Flare 12 Degree drop bars from Amazon. To prepare I watched a few YouTube videos and my install went fine and looks great, not as good as a pro mechanic but for me it's good. The tape is thick enough that it gives you a good feel when you are gripping the bars but not so thick that it makes your handlebar feel lumpy. The tape has enough stretch to make the install pretty easy and I had plenty of tape to wrap both sides of the wider gravel style bars.

Not recommended - Very poor adhesive

Tape looks good but has very very poor adhesive. Even that black adhesive tape to keep the tape down is of very poor quality- I would not recommend

Quality for the price

Added to a gravel bike for off road. Easy to apply and comes with shims for underneath the hoods and branded tape for the end finish. I was that impressed I purchased the product for my summer bike as well. I've tried more expensive bar tapes and although the may look better, you don't get much more comfort and usage for the price you pay. Better off applying the cineli and replacing every year.
