Great for park play dates!

This beach blanket is great! I keep it in my SUV and it takes minimal space which is great! It’s comfortable and works great for our park play dates. Easy to clean and store away. I would recommend to others.

Good for Park, not great for beach

This is a nice blanket to use in a park or to cover something you don't want to sit on directly (say an outdoor bench that has some stuff on it - or slightly wet ground). It is not padded, but keeps the ground away from you (noticeable on grass which doesn't allow the grass to prick at you). It is water proof and cleans easily. The measured size is 58 1/2 x 67 1/2. Just a couple of inches short of stated size. Two people laying down (with feet hanging off) or 4 people sitting. It has a zippered pocket, big enough for a phone and some snacks. It is roughly 15x8 but very flat, so not going to store a lot. It has a bottle opened attached, nice when picnicking. It has holes for an umbrella which is good, but the bad side is some wetness could sneak in through the holes. But if water is not an issue, it's handy. The blanket is plasticky feeling. Not as bad as a tarp but not soft or blankety. Because of this, I wouldn't use it on a beach unless you also had a towel. Suntan lotion would wipe off on to it and since you can't put it in a washing machine (at least I don't think you can, I didn't try it, just assuming), you have to hand clean. If I did bring it to a beach, I would put a towel on top. I think it is excellent for a picnic, but not for a beach.

Holds up well to moisture

This is a nice option for picnics, beaches, or any outdoor activity. It holds up well as a barrier to wet ground and is relatively comfortable though it’s not cushioned. It packs up tightly and easy to travel with. Good value.

Very comfortable and versatile

The CleverMade 70x60 blanket/mat is much nicer than I was expecting. Pros: it softer than another blanket we got a few years ago. This is in large part due to the cotton batting inside which also makes it more comfortable than our old one. It rolls up easily and has a handy shoulder strap to carry it round. There is a pouch that you can use to store lotions, wallet, cell phone, or any other small to medium sized items. It also has a bottle opener attached to it to open a cold beverage when you are out at the beach, on a picnic at the park, or just hanging out with family and friends in the back yard. The polyester facing will make it easy to clean when it needs it. It even has small slits in the middle so you can place an umbrella pole though it without damaging it. Cons: None! In summary: This is a very nice and versatile blanket at a good price point. Highly recommended!

Can be the missing piece on beach, or protective from damp ground in park

I've been through a lot with various beach blankets, setting up my family in the sand along with two medium sized beach umbrellas. This for me is the missing middle piece that an umbrella post goes through slits in middle of blanket - nice. Now in other circumstances, it's the right blanket to practice yoga in the park, because the ground may be damp and it's protective against that. You'd probably still want a yoga mat since this blanket isn't padded like a yoga mat, and it's portable enough to be practical this way also.

Versatile and compact

I ordered this beach blanket as I was tired of the non folding mat I had for this past season. This blanket is huge and very well constructed. It is made of a plasticky material which is comfortable to lay on but also super easy to hose down and clean. Really nice thoughtful additions like a slit for an umbrella and a pocket for accessories on the outside. We can fit everything we need on this and it wraps up really easily and has a shoulder strap which makes it a breeze to carry around. Beach season can't come back soon enough so I can make this a staple in my beach bag.

Well designed, functional, and comfortable

I like how this blanket folds up, rolls up, and then secures with the attached buckles. It can then be carried around with the strap. There is no bag to lose or a loosely folded blanked that easily unravels. The attached bottle opener is not something I use and seems a bit gimmicky, but I do like the built-in zipper pocket, which can store phones, keys, etc. The large size is nice, and my 6’3" frame can fit entirely on the blanket if I lie diagonally. The material is water-resistant, seems durable, and is reasonably thick. The stitching is also secure. No ripping problems so far. There are two umbrella holes in case you want to stick one in the middle. Yet another indication that this is a well-thought-out blanket and one I recommend.

Beach Time

We live in SWFL where a trip to the beach is rarely planned but they are frequent. With this CleverMade blanket stowed in my trunk, I'm ready to hit the fun and sun almost any time. I particularly like the fact that the sand doesn't stick to it. And, that zip pouch is perfect. Nice Product.
