very functional for emergencies.

When a hurricane was forecasted to possibly lbe heading our way, a relative recommended that I make sure I had adequate water.. I had four 5- gallon containers but was recommended to buy a five gallon container designed for potable water storage and fill with tap water. I reseated such containers and ordered the Colman collapsible "bladder". I filled it up and concluded that it was a very designed and well manufactured bladder with one complaint. The plastic or nylon valve (and bladder "cap") was very tight-fitting and difficult for me, a senior in my 80s, to open and close. After several attempts to open and claose the valve, the valve seemed to "loosen up" and I finally got a steady flow of water in my "test run". On the positive side, the valve certainly didn't leak. Also, the bladder collapses into a compact size for storage. I recommend it for the purpose designed.

Very slow stream

We use this to wash our hands only and so the trickling stream is fine, but if you are wanting to fill a glass with water it would be very frustrating.

I like it but... it leaks!

I like it but... it leaks! (More details below.) Pros: 1) The spigot is ON THE BOTTOM so it's actually usable. 2) If you set it so the spigot is on the edge of your table it points straight down and... 3) It doesn't randomly fall off the edge of the table as you use it (unlike some other similar products I've used). 4) The spigot runs slowly (I consider this a feature, not a bug. When one is off-grid, water conservation is more important than convenience). Cons: 1) It leaks! It leaks around the threads where the spigot attaches. It leaked from day one! It's only a slow drip, but still very annoying. That being said, I was able to fix the leak by wrapping a piece of PTFE tape (aka pipe thread tape aka plumbers tape) around the threads onto which the spigot screws. Now it's a mild inconvenience but not a big issue. Overall: I like it, now that I stopped the leak.

Good, with limitations

These are inexpensive and collapsible, and reasonably sturdy. I bought four for my Scout troop. One sprung a pinhole leak immediately, so I figured that experiment was over, but the other three have been solid for more than 10 campouts since then, and I have bought a fourth to replace the one that failed. HOWEVER: We use these for wash water, not for drinking water. I would be hesitant to use them for drinking water, at least in the long run, because of the difficulty of cleaning them. The spigots run slowly. This is not a problem if you're filling a cup. It's more of a problem if you're filling a dishpan. CAUTION: It is very easy to cross-thread the spigot assembly when attaching it to the body. Be gentle and make sure it is threaded properly. It should screw on easily and land straight; if it is not straight then it is wrong. NOTE: I first bought an off-brand clone from Walmart to replace the Coleman one that failed. I am not immediately able to find the exact name, but it was *not* equivalent. On the Coleman one the spigot assembly is mounted on the side of the body and points down. On the off-brand one the spigot assembly is mounted on one edge of the body and points back towards the bottom of the body at about a 45 degree angle. I was unable to find any way to position the jug and spigot assembly so as to make it convenient to use. I hate it.

Perfect with slight modification.

Spigot that it comes with is a very weak stream. With some know how added a regular garden hose spigot, sealed fastening nut with silicone for a permanent connection and made a 2ft filler hose with female garden hose fittings on both ends. And boom fast flow, easy on/off, and no leaks!

Check for leaks as soon as you receive it!

I purchased two of these to have on hand for hurricane season. It never occurred to me to test for leaks, because others I purchased and used over the years never leaked. Fast forward from my purchase in July to September, while filling the two new containers in preparation for Hurricane Ian, I discovered that one leaks. It’s too late to return, so that’s my bad. Learn from my mistake. If you decide to purchase, don’t wait until you need it to test it!

This item was good.

The only thing that I didn't like about this product is that the spigot didn't work on the first one and the spigot was very hard to turn on the replacement one. I love the fact that it is easy to fold and transport.

This is a handy product to carry water on your travel..longevity of the product has to be assessed.

Disappears in size when done with. Carry your own safe drinking water.

Useful to carry your own water than get some god forsaken brand for 50 bucks a litre! You do not need to carry a full size can after it is used. This water can saves space when done and less hassle to bring back from your road trips.
