Doesn’t have immediate effects but it’s good
I’ve tried a few other Cult51 products and I liked them so I was excited to try this. Obviously, it doesn’t give you immediate effects, but the serum does feel good on your skin and it helps keep my dry skin moisturized. This goes on light and it absorbs fast. I can easily layer this serum with other serums and I haven’t had any pilling between them. This has little to no scent so I didn’t have any sensitivity issues, even if I tap a bit of it around my eyes (because who wouldn’t want immediate effects there?). I really love their bottles because the pump puts the product out so easily and you can get as much or as little as you want. That’s great because you don’t feel like you are wasting product by getting too much out with one pump. This bottle is good sized so this should last me a long time since I only need one drop to cover my entire face.

the medicinal smell bothered me
So far I haven't been impressed at all with CULT51's products. I've tried two so far and with both products, the product packaging is not like the stock photos. I don't know if they updated their packaging and are trying to get rid of their "old" packaging, or if the ones I've gotten is the new packaging and the stock photo is the old packaging. I know packaging isn't that important but I still wanted to make a mention of it. The stock photo definitely looks much more expensive and classy. First of all, the scent of this is off putting. It just smells like the ingredients mixed together, with sort of a medicinal/chemical smell to it. It is a scent I've smelled before in some other skincare products and I'm not a fan of it. However, it is perhaps a better smell than an over perfumed face cream. This cream has a gel like consistency, and is easy to spread and apply all over the face. It didn't leave an uncomfortable feeling such as stickiness, too dry, or too rich. I did like the moisture it provided. I didn't experience any irritation with use, although it does have certain ingredients that could be irritating for sensitive skin. This product does seem to have silicones, which will do its job of smoothing and filling itself in the fine lines and crevices. I personally just couldn't enjoy using this product because of the scent. I'm not super sensitive to smells but I have so many wonderful face creams on my vanity I don't have to resort to using one that doesn't make me feel relaxed. I didn't see the smell of this product bothering anyone else so it may not bother you as much as it did me.

No real complaints but no noticeable difference in skin preservation
I have quite a few serums I like in my regimen. The ones that I see and feel noticeable differences in immediately and for the use of the product are what I'm most attracted to. This product is Good from a ordinary standpoint like an everyday multi-purpose serum. It definitely does not feel like it is sinking into the skin and healing the cells like some of these other serums out there do. Everybody's face and neck is different and I feel like this is right up the middle so a lot of people probably would like this I have very sensitive skin and it's aging as well due to the climate I'm in and levels of stress. I'm looking for more of a miracle serum and this is not really the one.

Weird Smell, OK Moisturizer, Seems Kind Of Average At An Above Average Price
I found this facial serum to be about average at an above average price at about $85 an ounce at todays Amazon price. The container looks nice enough and the pump works just fine. It is easy to pump out just what is needed. The consistency is thick enough that it doesn't run down and drip off your fingers before you can get it onto your face. That is an issue with numerous other products. It has some kind of a weird smell. It's not a perfume scent but more of a medicinal type scent. It's not awful and it doesn't linger for a long time when applied but it is certainly noticeable while it is being applied. It goes on smoothly and sinks in well without leaving the face feeling sticky or oily at all. It feels like an OK moisturizer. It doesn't feel like a premium priced moisturizer. Once you get to this price point you're in the realm of Strivectin, Priori, EVE LOM and brands that are generally really awesome products. They are expensive (you might even say ridiculously expensive like this one) but when you apply them you can literally feel the difference when applied and even the next morning if you apply them before heading off to sleep. This feels OK when applied and it has completely faded by morning. Overall, this is OK, it smells weird when dispensed and applied and it belongs in a price tier far below the current $85 an ounce to even consider it. If you have the budget for this, do yourself a favor and buy something better for about the same price or at least the same price per ounce.

Nothing 'immediate', and I'm not sure about the 'effects', either.
I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed in this product. It's not bad, don't get me wrong, but I suppose the positive reviews, the promise of immediacy, and yes, the price point all led me to have pretty high expectations for it. Unfortunately, I don't think this serum has fully met those expectations. The instructions indicate that it is meant to be used under the eyes and as a spot treatment for certain wrinkles, like those on the forehead. I have had deep genetically inherited wrinkles on my forehead since I was about twenty years old, so I was eager to try this stuff. I followed directions, but honestly have not seen any observable differences. Also, I'm not crazy about the way it feels on my skin...kind of drying and stiff. I know there's alcohol listed in the ingredients, so maybe that's to blame for the unpleasant tightness. One thing that is NOT unpleasant is Cult51's commitment to producing quality beauty products without ever testing them on animals. Neither is any animal testing involved in any part of their manufacturing process, and they are certified by PETA as a cruelty-free company! YAY! I might continue to experiment with this product in a particular area, though, to see whether time and continued use might provide more significant visible benefits. Of course, that's not exactly the same as "Immediate Effects", is it? I hope that sharing my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase. Happy shopping!
