I decided to replace the existing sink in connection with the installation of a new faucet, mainly because there is not much choice available in kitchen faucets that would match an older model, white porcelain sink. I chose this one based on price, heavy gage, appearance, customer reviews and most importantly, its dimensions were exactly those of my old sink. I hired a plumber to install it even though it looked like all I was facing was a simple wrench job. It was a good thing I did since despite the same measurements, it did not quite fit the existing opening in the counter. That's where the plumber's expertise out shown my amateur DIY skills. The replacement faucet is an "Artic" stainless steel Delta unit; it goes well with the sink. While I have no concerns with the sink, I can't imagine rating such an uncomplicated product any better than four stars.

it is 18Ga.

It is very heavily grained in two directions and looks nice but it is already scratched in many places. I assume as time goes on it will add to the patina. However it shows very water and rings where dishes have sat for a while. and the marks are not easy to clean off. I actually have to use a stainless steel cleaner frequently to keep it looking decent. My old cheaper thinner sink never had this problem. Must admit I am sorry I changed it

Deep and easy to install

it had a few marks and came in a box with no packaging or information about the sink. That's why it didn't get a 5.Liked that it is made in the USA.

Photo shows 4 hole sink. One hole delivered. Now I have to buy a new facuet.

Elkay products are know for their quality. They are mostly designed for commercial use. However my issue with the seller and not the product, the product delivered is incorrect from the order. If your image is a 4 hole sink, don't send a one hole sink. If you can't manage that I'm not sure you should be in business. I'm not in the situation to send it back so now I have to waste the time and money to procure a one hole faucet. Not sure what I'm going to do with the extra faucet now. :-(

Great quality sink, but anyway it got scratch marks in one day after installation

It scratches very easily.

The insulation is poor - none on the bottom - only the sides. The finish is not as polished as indicated. Even though the stated size it was the same size as my old sink, it did not fit the old opening.

Picture not accurate

Investigated this sink thoroughly for size & rating & specications. Needed 4 holes, which picture shows. It came in with 2 holes. Big problem! Should have sent it back. My faucet needed 4 holes. What a job making those 2 extra holes.
