HUGS DOOR AND NOTHING EXTRA JUST THE DOOR

This is the product to get for your ring doorbell. It hugs the door and it's not 3 inches wide. It HUGS the door perfectly without the need for a large screw to secure it and it won't stick out an extra inch on the inside to the door. It took 3 orders to get it right. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON OTHERS.

Amazing for renters

I rent and I ordered a Ring so I needed something that is not permanent and this is perfect. It stays secure and it's easy to remove when I have to charge the Ring.

Has a purpose but not for all angles

Easy install, slim and sleek, good design but, the flaw I found is if you have a deep doorway like an apartment complex does at certain locations an entire half of your wide angle camera view is gone. You’d still see people as they’re right at the camera but heaven forbid if your camera lags or something and if people are up to no good you may miss em coming. Just not a product totally helpful to me I guess.

This is great!

I live In an apartment building, so I was not able to mount the ring camera. I bought this instead and it works like a charm with the newest Ring Camera! There’s no gap in my door from it and my door opens and closes like it should!

A good no-drill alternative

I bought this for my Eufy doorbell cam. There were guidelines in the package on which foam to use for Eufy but mine is a slimmer model so have to use extra pieces on the side to secure the doorbell. Other than the extra padding, the rest of the installation was easy. I do get pivotal view of my entrance after the installation which is good. One think I notice though is the door mount has added thickness to my door and resulted in tiny gaps between the door and the weather strip; we will have to apply extra weather strip to seal the gaps.

Perfect for Eufy video doorbell 2K

Was worried that it would not work because of the measurements of the video doorbell I bought (Eufy model 2K) compared to the huge hole in this Doorbell Boa: the doorbell seemed so small that it would fall through the hole… but not at all, with the variety of foams included I was able to adjust it perfectly in the middle with no foam on the bottom part to allow the microphone to work. Then, I pretended I was a burglar and tried to remove it by trying to push the foam: impossible! Proceeded to install it on my door: very easy, works perfectly. Wanted a product that could work with different brands of video doorbells in case I want to upgrade in the future for a newer model or different brand and I did not want to drill any holes in my brick wall for the same reason: this product is THE solution I needed, for the present and the future!

Should not have purchased

It does not work for my door due to the glass in the door and it's not eligible for return. I wish I had known that before purchasing.

Does not angle your Ring Doorbell away from the trim.

Reason the above is important is at night the IR bounces off the trim and causes a very bright looking spot in the camera. Not sure if something were to be in the spot if it would detect it or not. Would be nice if the wedge could be used in this holder. If it can please enlighten me and it would be a 5 star.
