Better in Theory to Cable Ties But This Brand BREAKS Easily
Now that it's a year later and I've used more of the ties included in the 48-pack that I purchased, I realize that I need to edit my original five-star review. I love the idea of these ties, and they certainly have come in handy. However, there have been at least six ties (out of 48) that were broken in spots right out of the package. A couple others broke as I was threading them. These are definitely not heavy duty. I LOVE the idea of these as compared to standard cable ties, and I realize that I can still reuse the sections that have broken, but it is annoying that some are broken straight out of the package or break without being intentionally cut. I found a different brand on Amazon that appears to be heavier duty, has more reviews, and are less expensive. I'm going to try those when I need more.

Clever, handy item
Used these to hold fast a DIY mudguard I fashioned for my Cervelo’s downtube. I wanted something that would hold it fast, yet not scratch the carbon fiber surface of the frame. They fit the bill perfectly.

Product has directions for easy release on their package and website. Simply put the pointed end back through the same hole you fed it through to tighten. These are very tough, and while it may seem brutal, it can take the abuse.

OK. But for the price there are better choices.
Disappointed. They are not really reusable. At least easily. Getting them to release is a pain. Darn near have to ruin them to make them release. They might be worth the price if easily reusable. But as a one-time tie? No. There are standard cable ties that release with a push tab. Something I've found that is really handy as a releasable tie is the GB Beadle Wrap.
