The original

Many dont know this but this little call was a modified old-time kits whistle toy that was made by Phil himself. Everybody copied it but this is the original. It works good and while many companies make great calls they are rarely this inexpensive and easy to use.

Definitely helps decoy gadwall in high pressure hunting areas

Even gadwall will get decoy shy when they get shot at enough. I've noticed over the years if you sound like them and not a mallard all the time they tend to work into the decoys better in high pressure areas. This call is a little harder to master a consistent good sound versus the original DC gadwall call but it is much more compact. I'm sure with a little more practice it will sound as good as the original.
