Much better than single piece design
I have a business that provides low-voltage installation services. I greatly prefer an interchangeable setup like this over single piece (bit plus shaft design). With the single piece once you dull the bit you have to replace the entire thing (at $30-50 a pop), not to mention you end up needing 4-8 different bits to accommodate different drill bit sizes and lengths. It is easy to attach a new bit and the lip design helps prevent the bit from spinning loosely. The reason for 4 stars is because you have to really make sure to get the screws tight on this otherwise you end up with a bit stuck inside the wall. FYI the 90 degrees is for the entire length of the rod, dont expect to make a 1" hole and bend this at a sharp 90 degree angle. Also the larger the drill bit the slower you should go with your drill. If you try to push a 3/4" bit through a double 2x4 header at max speed you will likely break the rod before you drill through.

A decent size for those hard-to-reach places
Pretty simple tool, not much to say, it does the job. 1/4" shank is very rigid. Like the convenient hole on the drill side for wire pulls.
