Not heavy duty
I bought these to try and be more green with each load of laundry that I do as a mom of two. However my husband kept complaining about his clothes not smelling clean and fresh and that is a problem. My husband is a bedbug exterminator and he heats up houses every single day and sweats like crazy so his clothing gets very soiled and needs a deep clean. This didn’t quite clean his clothes leaving them a little stinky and smelling like body odor. This worked for every day light soiled clothing but not for the heavy duty needs that we have.

I love Emma...
I've been steadily "greening" my household products. So when my last bottle of Tide ran out, I decided to give Emma a try due to the simplicity of its ingredients. Eco-Me is a truly green company, unlike say, A Couple of Generations Later. Just take a look at their ingredients label, and you'll see what I mean. Emma gets my laundry so clean. My clothes almost feel "thinner" somehow, because they're no longer coated in various unnecessary substances. The absence of scent is lovely (I can't stand "Fresh Spring Breeze", "Meadow Fields", or what-have-you). The actual detergent itself actually smell realistically of iced tea, down to the slight bitter tang of tea. Once dried, my clothes carry no scent at all. What really impressed me is how economical it is. My 32oz bottle is only about 45% gone after 3 months. I do 2-3 loads of laundry every week, so Eco-Me's claim of 64 loads is probably feasible. You only need 1 or 2 caps per wash, and the size of the cap is like the twist-off bottle cap from plastic soft drink bottles. Emma was used to be on Amazon's subscription program, but not anymore. Vitacost used to carry it, not anymore. It seems that very few people care for this little gem. Give it a try! Also try half a Downey Ball's worth of distilled white vinegar in your wash, then wool dryer balls in your dryer. You'll never have to buy useless, chemical-laden fabric softeners and laundry sheets again.

Loved the ingredients and scent of this laudry detergent
I am always looking for natural and organic, low toxicity based products. I found Eco-me through search on amazon and had never heard of them. I love the logo and was very excited to try it. The smell from the bottle is pleasant, I do wish it transferred a little more to the clothes after washing. I gave it 4 stars because I thought it didn't get my clothes as clean as I would like. It did last for a while, even know I used a little extra in each load to get things cleaner. I like the ingredients in the detergent and think that it's very important to not poison our water . Which is what attracted me to this product and to give it a try. I may give Eco Me another go and come back after trying it a little more!

Smells horrible
I've started using this product and love how the detergent cleans our laundry. Had been using the unscented and thought I'd try this smell. Mistake! Expected it to smell like lavender but was sadly disappointed. The smell was so strong like an odd citrus type scent, it makes me gag to use it. Will be going back to unscented!

And the winner is....Eco-Me!
I am trying to make the shift and use more natural household products. I've been reading about the impact of synthetic chemicals used in laundry detergents and decided to try other brands instead of Purex, Gain, etc. In this search, I have tried the detergents of Seven Generations, Trader Joe's, and Eco-Me. My criteria to decide the best are: (1) must have a very subtle (and natural) fragance, (2) good price-performance ratio. By far, this is the winner. It is a concentrated product, and I use 1 cap for small loads. I've used it for 2 months (2 small/medium loads per week) and more than half is left. If you would like to how to achieve a more healthy life by choosing the right products, please check the book "Super Natural Home" written by Beth Greer (also available in Amazon). Personally, that was one of my starting points.

Happy and pleased with the product very much
I have been trying to change over from dangerous chemicals to safer ones especially since my boyfriend and I are planning on having a baby and have read a lot on parabens and pthalates along with other nasties from EWG's website. This detergent was listed with an A rating at EWG as being really safe, but we were curious if it would work really well. We have given this detergent a month and a half of use and we love it. It cleans the clothes very well and it doesn't even take that much to do the cleaning. The bottle says to use only a capfull for small loads and 2 caps for medium to large loads since the detergent is concentrated. So not only is it safer and does a good a job, but it saves in money in the long run as well. I highly suggest this product.

Clothes do not have much of a scent when I use it. Clothes seem nice and clean. Little does seem to go a long way. I would like to be able to smell a distinct fresh scent. When I received my package a little had leaked out in the bag, but not enough to concern me.

Great non-toxic detergent
We're been making the transition to all-natural household products, so I love that this detergent received an A rating from EWG. So far, quite pleased with the performance as well. PROS - Takes very little detergent to wash a load - 1 capful for our small top-loader (approx. 7 gallon drum) - Doesn't leave a strong fragrance, just a subtle clean smell CONS - Husband had a mild allergic reaction to this when we accidentally used too much in a load - so start with less than you think you may need and work up from there
