Great for Kids

My twins love this book and the interactive pen. They have been learning so much from the book and how it will alert them if they make an incorrect decision.

5 year old and mom approved

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old. Some of the activities were pretty easy for him but some were challenging. When I bought I figured he may get through it pretty quick but didn’t feel he was quite ready for the next step (Kindergarten version of this). He loves the rhyming and letter/sound matching. I did have to help him at first and show him what to do since he can’t read but after a couple rounds he was doing it all on his own and having fun while learning.

Fun learning activity!

My son has a very short attention span, he can sit down and play this learning activity for 30 minutes at a time! He is learning what he needs to get ready for kindergarten and he loves the coaching the puppy pen gives him when he gets the answers right or wrong.

Great for preschool

I purchased this when my grands were small and seen it on Amazon so I decided to order my 4 year old nephew one. It’s a fun way of learning

Great for learning letters and beyond

This has been the perfect learning tool for my 4 yr old son! He knows his capital letters, but has trouble with his lower case letters. There are a couple of sections that cover that and he's progressed a lot because of the book. I was pleasantly surprised to find that along with that are more difficult sections that he can work up to. I feel like this is a toy we can use for a long time. He is loving all the pictures in the books, learning his letters, and especially loves the silly noises that come from the dog pen. It takes a little coaching at first, but after he figures out a section he is able to do it independently. I've seen some negative reviews on the product, but it seems unrealistic to expect a toy to teach something to your child without some guidance. My 2 yr old son also loves the books and I can use them for teaching him words in general, because the pictures are great. Already recommended these to a friend!

Great workbooks to reinforce basic reading skills for a 4 year old

Since my 6 year old is remote learning this semester, I had to get something for my 4 year old to feel like she was in “school” too! With the two workbooks and the dog pen, my 4 year old sitting next to her older sister feels special AND is actually learning something too! I was surprised at how quickly my 4 year old picked this up and went through the workbooks. The activities were simple but reinforced the basics that my 4 year old needs to start learning to read. I only wish it came with more workbooks!

Kids loved it

I love this! I'm doing homeschooling (not just distance learning) with my almost 5 year old and her little sister (2.5yo) is tagging along. I bought this product and an additional pen so they could both do this. There are 2 books, one easier and one harder. You have the read the directions but otherwise they can be independent. My older daughter can usually tell what to do now that she's tried it a few times. My only complaint is that the dog pen must be totally upright for it to work. Otherwise it counted the answers as wrong.

It's good but my pen came defective....it doesn't recognizes the incorrect answer but it's a good resource to engage children into learning
