Temperature spread to great when set. Changes several degrees after set. Too much stress on Discus fish.

Meh!

I’m so over heaters that won’t calibrate to within 1 degree. I’ve gotten paranoid enough to have four thermometers in my sixty gallon because this heater seems to have a mind of its own. I keep my tank at 80 but have had it go from 77 to 82 with no variables, other than the heater, that would throw it off. Also, the gauge is stiff; making it difficult to adjust. I’m going to buy a digital heater with an out of tank control unit in the hopes that you get what you pay for. In it’s defence, I would say that these mid priced heaters no matter what brand are all over the place in terms of ease and reliability.

This heater is reliable.

You get what you pay for. This heater may cost a little more, but it's never fried my fish or let them freeze. Well worth the money. I've learned not to buy any other brand.

very effective, but too big

be aware the 250w heater is a good 12-13 inches long. I wanted w more powerful heat sorce in my sump so it would turn on less often, this unfortunatly does not fit due to its length. I will be purchasing the same heater in a smaller size becuse it preforms well, and I love the ajustment it has.

Not going to lie for me this product was exactly 2.5 not good but not bad

This heater works well, has a light to tell you its on, and seems to do its job. The negatives of this are the suction cups are nit well made, and for five minutes i did not know how to change the temperature...seems like no big deal but i have been a aquarium owner for four years usually i can figure things out pretty quick. I can't in good conscious reccomend buying but i cant really say its a bad product either...

Accurate and powerful but......

Accurate but if ambient room temp goes up a couple degrees so does aquarium temp. It keeps cycling on even tho it doesnt need to.

Réglage pas précis.

J'ai un autre Fluval qui indique 82 et lui est réglé à 80 soit une différence de 2 degrés. J'ai vérifier avec un autre thermomètre pour vérifier lequel dit vrai et le Fluval est plus précis. Différence avec le Heim de 2 F.

Quality heater

I ordered the 250 watt as a backup for my 180 gal (always have a second heater in my tanks). I received the 300watt for some reason but I’m not complaining, luckily the tank was tall enough.

Awesome brand best heaters

I have had many jagger heaters one of the only brands I would trust in my reef tank. I hAd returned this one because I found my other ebo jaggers so I didn’t need 3 !

This is a great heater! I’ve had it for a year-ish and it has been going strong the whole time. Eheim is a very good brand for aquarium supplies and I will continue to purchase products from them.
