Quicly delivered

I was looking for an all plastic rocket. I’m not experienced with rocket building so asked Amazon for an all plastic model. This is where I was sent. They are gifts for my nephews. Will post a follow up after the build.

Fly's Nice!

Wow this is great little rocket! Not sure if it was my great build quality or the light weight, but this thing fly's straight as an arrow. We launched the rocket two times. Once with a A8-3 then with a B6-4. The A8 seemed like to produced the perfect height. As for the B6, it went (dare I so) to high. in the end, we had around 30 seconds where we had no idea where it was! Pros: - Fairly simple to build - Nice high straight flight pattern Cons - Has no parachute.... One a ribbon to slow down the decent - Probably user error here, but I was not able to recover the engine. Rocket relies on you using some sort tape to hold it in place. I never did that with my launches, so something to consider if your in a dry area. In general awesome little rocket, really fun to fly!

Great, not for young or inexperienced.

This was a great rocket and worked perfectly. I had to watch some videos to get clarification of some of the assembly steps. This rocket is not for the young or inexperienced. It is easy to assemble if you are already familiar with how they work. That being said, there are numerous videos online to help sort out the first timer. Pay attention to the glue. Not just any glue will work. Waiting for glue to set and then dry is not fun. The durability depends entirely on how well you out it together.

"Pretty nice'

My 10-year-old built this with minimal assistance from me (showed him some gluing and sanding). Good directions, he pretty much followed them on his own. Flies plenty high -- high enough to lose it if you're not careful. Streamer recovery. B6-4 takes it plenty high. Lots of fun. I built quite a few Estes rockets when I was that age, and glad to see they are still around, not too expensive, and same quality. About the only compromise is that nosecones are plastic now instead of balsa (actually lighter that way, but not quite as do-it-yourself feeling). Fins are still balsa. His cousin said it's "Wizardy". This is one of a series of rockets (the viking is another) that are exactly the diameter of the engine (very narrow) -- and so go about as high as possible on a given engine. Good first rocket if you don't mind some gluing.

Good deal for the money

Good deal for the money. I got this to put together with my son who is seven, I didn't want to spend a ton of money on something crazy that he will basically use once, and this fit the bill. I will say that while it did come with decals, you do have to paint it yourself, and it doesn't come with any paint. This may be obvious to some, but I haven't done a model rocket in about twenty years so I had no idea, and it added a trip to the hardware store to the project. This isn't a big deal, but I think it should be mentioned thatwhat you get is plan carboard, balsa wood and white plastic.

A Great Little Rocket

This has got to be the most minimal rocket possible that uses standard (18mm) engines. Mine came out at just 27g fully assembled without engine. Assembly is a little challenging and buying the fin guide helps a lot. I have only used A engine but even so we lost sight of it. If you use C watch it carefully.

Easy Rocket

Simple easy to assemble rocket. I got this for my 5 year old son to see how he would like rockets. It was super easy to assemble. Comes with a streamer and wooden fins. I used A8 motors which are a tiny bit too big. So far got around 30 flghts with little damage (mostly from hitting concrete instead of grass)

Very basic

These are very basic, and while not hard to build, they are of lower quality than any other Estes model I've built. Given the low price, they're good for kids and for use in situations where recovery may be impossible, but they are very small and not very exciting to launch.
