Great target accessory for airsoft or lead pellet guns
Be sure to READ the instructions first!!!! Gamo tells you very clearly not to use this trap with metal BBs, like the copper colored ones used with your Red Ryder BB gun. This trap is for soft projectile such as 6 mm plastic BBs or lead .177 cal pellets. I have tried it with both. The target size is 5.5” by 5.5” inch square and you can buy hundred packs of targets. The item I bought came with some targets. The mounting bracket has a keyhole on the back you can hang it on a screw or nail. If using with airsoft, be aware that the BBs will probably be sitting right behind the target paper since they don’t always go all the way to the back. Remove the trap while attached to its mounting bracket and tip it so the target paper is facing up before you remove the target. If you don’t do it this way, you will spill BBs all over. I put a piece of tape over the open top of the mounting bracket, which is also the trap area that holds the BBs or pellets, because sometimes airsoft BBS would bounce out the top. A nice little airsoft trap for indoor or outdoor use. I use it in the basement. If used outdoors, you should probably bring the trap inside when done using it. Don’t just leave it out in the rain for weeks or months. By the way, five and a half inches square might seem really small for a target but it is not, at least if you are half way competent. So far the max distance I’ve tried is about 25 feet and that is about the practical limit of a cheap airsoft pistol as far as usable range.

cool indoor trap.
I have a classic pump pistol with the stock attachment. My health isn't well, so I don't make it outside often. So I set up an indoor range! (What could go wrong???) The trap is smaller than I was expecting, but overall I'm happy with the unit. I use only 3 pumps on the pistol. I'm also leaving the used targets around the kitchen to intimidate the roaches! (I'll let you know if that works...) I like it!

Not for high velocity .177 air rifles!
Nice design. They warn about high velocity air rifles in the product description. I should have taken the warning more seriously! Wishful thinking I guess. After 500 rounds from Gamo Raptor (1300 fps if you use light alloy pellets) using 7.9 grain lead pellets at 25 yards, the unit was too beat up for further use. Too bad, I liked it otherwise. Wish it was made of heavier metal! I would happily have paid more.

Very good but suffers when used with higher power air rifles.
This is a steel pellet trap which should perform well for low powered pellet guns. Mine isn't, although it is 0.177 Cal. I tried the supersonic PBA alloy pellets which do not deform like the lead pellets. They survived the impact without shattering or massive deforming and were pretty hard on the trap putting significant dents in the side walls and the deflector at 50'. After that, I shot all lead pellets at 700 - 1000 fps and further dented the deflector and eventually holed it. After the deflector was holed and pushed upward and backward, one of the lead pellets missed the deflector altogether and penetrated the back wall, although not completely. I tried putting duct seal in the square window in the back collector section which worked well, but only for about 10 - 20 shots before it had to be reshaped and the spent pellets removed. Currently, the trap is somewhat beat up, but using the duct seal and placing 1/4" hardwood behind the deflector, it is still serviceable (fortunately, I ran out of the PBA pellets). The 100 targets supplied give nice sharp holes with wadcutters and are easy to change. If you are into DIY, you should probably Google "Worlds best pellet trap". A cardboard box, $6 worth of Rubber Mulch and some clear packing tape can be a very effective pellet trap (the towel is probably optional, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy notwithstanding), but you should back it with something even though my 1030 fps 7.9 gr. pellets will not penetrate 6" of the rubber mulch.) Check out the All-Weather Target Backer for a little extra insurance. This also might work well behind the deflector plate of the Gamo Cone Pellet Trap instead of the hardwood I used above.

Update!
So I haven't had this long or have I put a lot of rounds into it but so far it's great! I use fire .20 and . 25 gram plastic airsoft bbs into it while I have it mounted on my wall in my tech room. No more bbs on the floor!!! Although the top I had to cover with cardboard and tape and down up and underneath the base were it slides into the wall holder mount part because 99% of all my bbs shattered upon impact, getting pieces everywhere lol. Once it's all taped up it works like a charm! 1000% clean. The shattered bbs don't bother me, I never reuse bbs fired from my barrels anyways. All in all it was a great buy for a great price and it's sturdy! I'll update the review if anything happens but so far it's getting the official Michael Approved stamp seal ???? Update! Bent the hell outta the back metal plate. Strongest shots where from a 400fps bb at point blank range. Most are at 1 joule of energy or less. Still holding strong!

Glad I have a scope!
This thing is pretty small. Glad I have a scope to find it at 60ft! Put some weight in the bottom. A strong hit will move it causing you to have to walk to and from and reposition the target after a pellet or two. Great for exercise...

Destroyed after two weeks of use!
This trap is mediocre for the price. I didn’t expect years of use, but I expected more than two weeks. I used a Gamo .22 air rifle and fired about 160 pellets. Currently, bits of lead go flying out the side with each shot. It should be noted that circumstances force me to shoot at a slight angle and all rounds struck the two sides visible in the photos.

Not suitable for .22 pellets, Ok with .177 wadcutters.
This trap might be OK for .177, but it is not capable of handling a .22 14.3 grain pellet at 820 fps. There is a deflector plate at the rear of the cone and if you are a good shot and hit the center of the target, the pellet will hit this deflector and bend it . If you shoot low, it will go below the deflector and put a major dent in the rear wall of the "post" part of the trap. With .177 wadcutters it works well enough. I have a 10M pistol and a 10m air rifle and for these is was OK. Description should say "Suitable for .177 only" I think.

Works good
Solid product all around and works as expected. Nothing special, but good.

Very dependent upon how good a shot you are at range you are sighting in for!
If you are new at shooting, using an older bb gun or shooting at a range where you are sometimes 4 - 5 inches off centre this may not catch a bb/pellet. Am using with a pellet rifle which can use a range of pressures and thus a range of muzzle velocities...am concerned about vertical accuracy when sighting for different velocities - returned unit.

Tel qu’indiqué
Le produit est de bonne qualité mais la lame à l’intérieur qui fait dévier les plombs est un peu molle car elle repli par l’extérieur a force de tirer dessus.
