WORKS.... EXCEPT FOR THE PRESSURE GAGE

I got this today and tried it out immediately. I ordered it to cure the anemic low heat output of my new discount gas grill, that, but for it's wimpy caloric output, is a good product.......except it came with one of those gas regulators that you could not adjust gas flow out of........so it wouldn't sear a steak. This new rig solved that problem and allows me to turn my grill into a furnace (no exageration). However, the regulator gage on this new rig doesn't work. Even still, I'm not sending it back because I can visually see how much brighter I can torch my grill up to high temp and get it to cook stuff in the manner that old time gas grills used to be able to do before they had to start selling them with neutered regulators under the Biden regime.

Really helped my blackstone

Works exceptionally well on my blackstone grill. The stock regulator wouldn't get my griddle hot enough to cook . I tried everything to make it work better but nothing helped. I purchased this and installed it . it was a night and day difference. I would recommend this to anyone who has a balckstone . The pressure gauge doesn't work on mine but you don't need it. Just dial it in by eye and roll on. Money well spent imo..

Who would have thunk it?

Just a few years ago I purchased a grill from Homedepot. We used it almost every day for a long time but it was never up to what we thought it should be. Took too long to cook, wouldn't get hot enough to really sear a steak etc.. Just installed this today and WOW what a difference that makes. I lit the burner and it was just too much so I cranked the regulator down and down until the flame sounded a bit less dangerous. The gauge showed 0 psi and I cranked it even lower. Still the flame was twice the size as before. Closed the lid and the temp climbed quickly to 600f. Now we're talking!!! Decided to cook three rib eyes I had picked up the day before. Lit only one burner and turned it way down. The grill came up to 300 - 350f and stayed there. Sweet!! Just where I wanted it. We did the reverse sear method. Brought the steaks to 110f internal temp over about 20 minutes then lit up the sear burner. Now that is what a sear burner should work like. Bright orange and hot as heck. Actually seared the meat!! Everyone agreed, those steaks were excellent and I owe it all to the "upgrade" on the grill. Very happy with my purchase. Burgers tomorrow.. can't wait!

Fits well

For the use on the generator the gauge lbs/ bars are to high. Once I got the generator running the needle barely came off the pin.

gauge necessary to confirm gas flow.

The gauge is a necessary to use. i have used other adjustable regulators without the gauge and wasn't able to determine gas flow past regulator. so either it was no flow or too high of flow.

Knob turns on its own, built up with electrcal tape on housing under knob and good now

turn it down tell u just see yellow flames on tip????

the pressure gage did not work but still works as advertised it made a super difference in my grill do to thr grill did not have aduquit gas pressure this helped super good dont over load your grill abilities keep it so u just see a little yellow at tips of the flames ???? my grill has 5 burners if u use one burner turn it down tell u just see yellow flames on tip shut gas off at yhe tank fore safty of corse leave the ajuster on the hose on cook on my frends lol ????

Not happy with pressure regulation.

It works, but does not keep set pressure. If you set 5psi, heater turns on, pressure drops to 2-3 psi, shuts off, comes back up to 5psi. Also sensitive how much pressure in the tank, if tank is warm (higher pressure), set pressure also will be higher, if tank is at the last quarter or close to empty, set pressure also will decrease. So if you want it for precision control to control flame, its no good as it's always changing depending on the pressure in the tank. Not sure is it works better on the higher end of the scale.

Works well with thorough Safety awareness.

Product works well, it is as advertised I am very pleased that it functions well. A few safety concerns tho do exist. It does require a degree of common sense, care, and observation while connecting to a gas supply. Thread the connector to a gas supply & affirm a full connection by moving the pressure hose back and forth to verify you have a complete connection. If there is movement at the union you need to tighten the supply threads further or else leakage will occur. My only real disappointment is the knob for the flow controller is very sensitive and can easily be dialed accidentally to dangerous levels while in operation. There should be a safety to prevent accidental adjusent of flow pressure. Other than that it works great.

High pressure!

It should be obvious if you read the description but this is a high pressure regulator. Dont use it to replace a low pressure regulator (bbq) thinking you can just dial it back with the knob (like I did lol) . As noted in other reviews the adjustment is not stable especially at low pressures, but this is to be expected since low pressure is not what it's designed for. As a high pressure regulator, this thing blasts the propane.. great for a forge i would think.

L’embout non compatible avec mes appareils.

Sûrement un bon produit mais l’embout à raccorder sur l’appareil ne fit sur aucun de mes appareils. Doit sûrement exister un adapteur. A voir si j’en trouve un.
