Same one I was issued in the Marine Corps.

This was some grunt's issued e-tool. It's been well used but pretty well cared for. Someone spray painted the blade of the shovel to cover up the wear and tear but it's the same one I have dug many a fighting hole and filled many sand bags with. Pros: Sturdy little shovel. Folds up and is compact. Locks in an L position that makes for a good pick or hoe. Cons: It's a little heavy. Compared to my hardware store shovel it's heavy, I've never tried out the Cold Steel shovel but I think it's a little bit heavier than that one.

Well made, compact short spade

Heavy duty product. Expensive, but worth it. It may be heavier than others, but I found it to be solid, and very compact. All edges are protected in shipping with a thin coat of plastic. Nice!

Dull blade

Would love it if blade was somewhat sharp. It is dull and has a rounded off edge.

Lightweight and compact emergency shovel

I bought this as a lightweight, compact emergency shovel to carry with me in my van. We use it for lightweight digging tasks while camping. So far it has held up well; we respect its limits. Haven't tried to cut a tree down with it; I carry a lightweight camp saw for that purpose.

Great for camping and emergency preparedness

I leave this product in my trunk when I'm not camping. It came in handy once when my car got stuck on some hardened snow. It took a while to get free because of the smaller size but its nice to know its there, especially considering it fits below the floor of my trunk inside my spare, out of the way and taking up no extra space. While camping it is great for digging small holes, making or clearing a firepit, driving stakes into the ground, etc etc. There are so many times this thing has come in handy. The construction is very good. High quality metal and plastics make a sturdy feel that I trust will last for years. Its a bit heavy for long hikes but I usually take it just in case.

Substantial little shovel

Well made and substantial portable shovel for emergencies. Hope to never need to use it! Warning .. since it is made to be portable, it is not very big which is both a plus and a minus.

Great camping tool

Purchased this e-tool for my camp set. So far it's done exactly what it's suppose to do. Really like the compact folding design, takes very little space for such a functional tool.
