Horrible! I've used Giovanni products before and this seems like it's a fake...

I've purchased Giovanni products before at a nearby natural store and this is NOT the same product. First of all the packaging is not the same as I am use to. It's in a red cap container with a weird "formula" written on the top and lots of writing along the jar. The gel inside is very waxy and smells horribly!. I am use to Giovanni product smelling really nice and pleasant but not this product. It also does NOT work. Don't waste your time or money. Just buy direct from your neighborhood natural store even if it cost more. I am sending this back ASAP!

Really liked it...But

I tried this product while visiting Spain. It was a lifesaver in the humid weather and kept the edges and nape slick. The hold is medium, leaves hair shiny and healthy looking. Applied to the entire hair and I looked like "I stepped out of a magazine". My hair is very wavy/curly. So, a tie-down is necessary. But after months of using , I have noticed my edges getting thin. Not sure if its the wax. So, I have reverted back to pomade for now. But, I'm keeping my wax for those dog days when I run out off pomade.

Works for Me

I've been using this product for years and this is the best price I've found (if bulking with other items to avoid shipping). Use a little, and really rub it against your hands until it gets warm before spreading through your slightly wet hair for the best effect. I have "JewFro" hair that gets super curly in humid weather and this keeps it from getting bushy and 1970's-ish. I use it nearly every day and a 2oz container lasts me well over a month.

Still looking for that perfect hair wax that sits well, doesn't grease, holds for a long time, and rinses out completely without shampoo. This is close, but not quite there. And it's made of something weird that feels strange in the shower and can color your linen. Beware.

Works great

I hate gel. It leaves my hair greasy and flakey. Most 'waxes' on the market, are either gel like (thus leaving your hair looking greasy) or flakey (thus leaving your hair looking like it has dandruff). I go with the messey spikey look and this stuff does great! I buy it in bulk to save money, because it is a little pricey, but its the only thing I have found that ive found works well for styling without looking greasy/flakey.

Amazing on wavy/curly hair

I have wavy hair that seems to defy super glue!!! To my surprise this product tamed my hair and allowed me to style it as I wanted. You want spiky hair that you can run your fingers through then this is it. Lasts all day and washes off very easily. Does not get hard like hair glue/gel. It's a little pricy but it's all use now and i've just about used everything else.

The product quality is not consistent. There are distinct differences in the batch to batch manufacturing, which is evident once you open the package. I like the product but would prefer if the quality could be more consistent.
