Best Deck Screws Available
I bought these to add to the 5 pounds I had previously purchased for a small covered porch project, which I haven't yet completed. However, I believe they will work very well for my intended purpose because the torx screws do not require a lot of pressure to keep the bit from slipping and stainless screws are the most corrosion resistant type available. They came with a short driver bit which I located after a little digging and taped to the lid of the container to keep it handy so I can find it when I need it. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

High Quality, Star Drive SS Screws with Best Packaging
The quality is exceptional -- have not had a single failure. The star drive feature is far superior to other drives because the driver never pops out of the screw heads and is more tolerant of misalignment between driver and screw than other drives. The plastic box that Grip Rite uses to hold and store the screws is also exceptional -- easy to open, lid clicks to hold open, and the clear, sea-through boxes are clearly labeled and stackable. I also appreciated the extra-long drive bit provided in this and several other boxes of Grip Rite screws that I recently purchased from Amazon. My biggest disappointment is that you do not offer Grip Rite 8 X 1-1/4 inch stainless screws with star drive. You have them in square drive, but I will not buy those. I ended up getting my star drive SS 8 X 1-1/4 inch screws from Walmart, whose packaging is awful.

worked well
I used the stainless screws to replace regular steel screws in my porch deck that had begun to rust. They look good and I am trusting they will not rust like the old screws.

Good but not great.
I think these will last for quite a while and are well made with one small issue which may be related to the stainless steel. The problem I found was that when going into tough wood they would occasionally bend or snap.

Didn't appreciate the pre-bent screws
The screws that weren't bent out of the box worked well with no pre-drilling necessary. The price is right on par with my local ace hardware store. My big problem with them is that a dozen or so were bent right out of the box. I used what I could use and was lucky I had enough to do the job.

Best drive system
This is absolutely the best drive system ever. Star bit. I would never use a square drive system ever. I strips 25% when driving into a hard wood unless you a pushing very hard on the driver drill which is many times impossible when working overhead. I only wish the screw SS material was little harder.

Quality Fasteners - a Pleasure to Use
Great product. I used these screws to build a small cedar deck and steps. I was worried that I would need an impact driver but the screws went in beautifully with a cordless 3/8 drill with no pre drilling as the screw design is basically self-tapping. A T-25 torx bit is thoughtfully included with the screws - great head design - very positive grip - no rounding or jumping as you might get with Phillips or Robertson screws. You can just barely countersink the screws for a clean appearance.
