Not bad, just too small

This does a good job of cooking to the right temperature and timing for a good toasty sandwich. But you lose over 1/4" of your sandwich all the way around, which is an unfortunate waste.

I have searched high and low to find this sandwich machine. I remember my grandpa making us sandwiches with one just like this and now that I have my own I am so in love with it. My kids really enjoys it.

Affordable and does the job

I grew up in Europe with these sort of sandwich makers. They are very popular there and there are soooo many choices, unlike here. Growing up, I broke one or 2 until I got the hang of it. Be gentle with it, don’t overfill your sandwich, use soft bread. If the corners of the bread are hard and thick, cut them off. Don’t put all the pressure on the handle when you close it, hold it a bit on the sides too, until the part where it gets hot. I am the only one using it so making 2 sandwiches it’s grand. I put the sandwiches in and then close it and then plug it. Keep in mind that everything these days is made to break and to be replaced and not repaired. Be kind and have patience with your appliances and they will last for a long time. Most of the time at least! :D

Not a British plug

The plug wasn’t even British and to this day I don’t even know what adapter to use! It was a gift and the lady gave it back to me. But with lock down unavailable to return and why should I pay for the returns
