We have had these since 2018. We actually have 3 cameras and use the third for travel. We received the first in 2018 as a shower gift and that battery to the monitor stopped charging in 2021. We bought the second set in 2020 when we had our 2nd baby. The camera stays plugged into the cord which can be annoying for when you need it higher and may not always reach to the ideal spot. There is also an alarm setting but we have never used it and it doesn't interest us, but may appeal to others. Pros: ???? Cheaper than other cameras out there ???? Doesn't run off wifi, so that's super convenient for anywhere you have power even when you travel, etc. Also, you don't have to worry about hackers since it doesn't run off wifi lol. ???? Super easy to use ???? You can have multiple cameras on one monitor part and it will cycle through the cameras so you can watch multiple children/areas. It looks like you can have up to 4 cameras on one monitor. ???? You can shut the screen off/put it to sleep so it isn't bright in the night, all while still using the monitor. You just press the top power botton once. Holding it down is the power on/off command. ???? Compact and not heavy. The monitor part fits right in your pocket. ???? The camera can swivel (manually) so you can move it to where you need it when you set it up. ???? There is a zoom in feature on the camera, but it isn't the greatest. ???? There is a walkie talkie feature on the monitor end which is convenient at times, but we don't use it too often, so it's not a "must have" for us. ???? There is a lullaby feature but we honestly don't use it since we have a sound machine that plays white noise/rain sounds. We did, however, have my in-laws use the lullaby feature for my older toddler to signal to her when she could get up out of her bed when they watched the kids recently. We have a night light with a wifi plug that does this at home (I control it from my phone) and it wasn't working at their place since it runs off my phone, so they used the lullaby on the camera as a signal. Otherwise we have never used the lullaby feature lol. ???? The battery seems to last a long time. I would guess about 4 hours or so. I keep it charged at night of course, otherwise it beeps at you, which is good, but annoying during your sleep time lol. It's good that it beeps for during the day/evening when you have to charge it, though. It actually beeps a long time, too, so it's good that it's not 2 beeps and dead lol. It will actually beep for a few minutes before dying, which gives you some time to "get to the charga!" ???? Cons: ???? The night vision is pretty grainy and not very clear in general. We keep their rooms pitch black, so the night time feature is all we see on our end. The times we have it on before we turn the light off, it looks so much more clear, it's crazy. If you have it close to their crib/bed, it is more clear, but that's not always convenient. I have attached photos of my older toddler's camera being far away and my younger toddler's that is closer and you can see that the close up is much better quality, but still not that great. ???? It often is "waiting for connection" during the night, which turns the screen back on. I keep the screen turned off but I also have them flipped over at night because it does it often and is bright, but more importantly, your baby could be crying during that time and you may not know (unless you're a light sleeper and your walls are thin, etc. haha) ????. It doesn't beep, it just flashes in on the screen and in order to "fix" that, you hold the power button down and restart it. It's annoying and odd that it only happens at night...maybe because we use it for longer at night than in the day when it's just a couple hour stretches, and the camera is too cheap to keep the connection that long or something. The monitor does beep when the camera isn't plugged in, though, so if a cat/dog nudged it or when you first set it up and are getting it in the right spot, the monitor will beep at you if that camera isn't plugged in yet. ???? It will sometimes beep if it's in my pocket. Almost like the signal is being blocked which seems odd to me...but maybe that's normal. It doesn't happrn often, but it's a little alarming when you don't expect it. ???? The temperature is not very accurate, so I wouldn't rely on that. It gives you a ballpark, but it really depends where in the room it is an if it's on an exterior or an interior wall, honestly. ???? The angle of the camera isn't very wide and can be a little finicky when setting it up. ???? The images on the buttons are starting to wear, but they still work. ???? The camera does not rotate/move from the monitor end. This is probably typical for baby monitor sets, but there are times I wish I could move the camera from the monitor end lol. Tips: ⭐ Use Velcro command strips to hang them so you can take them down easily for traveling or if you just need to move them around in your house, etc. ⭐ Put black electrical tape over the green light that is on the camera. ⭐ If you end up having more than 1 monitor and have a label maker, put their names on the monitors. I took them off for the photos, but you can sneak a small label on the front. ☺️ (Or wherever you want it). I also added their names on the cameras, too. Overall it's been fairly reliable and gets the job done, but it's not the highest quality by any means. Hope this helps! Edited 3/16/22 to add that we recently moved our older toddler into a toddler bed and it's easier to see her from a distance now compared when she was in the crib. But it's still not as good quality as other monitors out there. It gets the job done, though. I added the photo to compare. Edited again 10/25/22 to say that the handheld stopped working and the company was super nice and gave us a new one free of charge. The New one no longer says "waiting for connection" at random times, so that must have been a glitch with the old one. But, we have only had this new one for about 2 months and the charge seems to be wonky. I see that they now don't have this version of the parents hand held part of the monitor, though, so maybe they fixed those issues and the new model is more reliable. Overall we have had these monitors for 4 years with 2 kiddos and it's worked well. I have seen other people's higher tech monitors and it makes this one seem pretty cheap ???? but at the same time, it does what it needs to do and is fine for the price!
