Does the job as it should

These lag screws do the job and haven't broken on anything I have used them on. I have four of them holding up a shelf (with brackets) holding at least 400 pounds up and haven't had any problem with them.

Works Great!

I have used around 30 of these lag screws so far and they have worked as expected. I torqued them to be snug but did not over torque them where it would damage the wood. The screws all look identical and are the same as any local store for a cheaper price.

Poor product.

As I was tightening the first one, the head snapped off. I was using a short 6 inch wrench and applying about forty pounds of force on it. I thought that possibly that lag screw was defective, so I put another in a vise and it sheared off the head the same as before. I was screwing it into soft wood. It is too much trouble to return them. I will purchase some others at a local hardware.
