Pretty decent alternative if you don't have safety toe or steel toed boots available. Easy to take on and off, but the sizing isn't the best, depending on what shoe you are wearing at the time. Overall very happy with the product.

I had to return this product because it was too small. I have since ordered the next size up, I wear a size 10. It would be nice if they used a different method to size overshoes. from the looks of it it seems to be a good product and the only reason I gave it 3 stars is the sizing (and I was unable to wear them). I will adjust this review if need be when the XL comes in. One other thing I should mention, There is a pronounced heel in these overshoes. It's obvious to me now but wasn't as obvious when I initially ordered them. The heel will work on my boots, but on flat shoes it may cause a problem. I will have to look for another type to wear with my other shoes because of this. UPDATE: I have received the TTUXL and the fit is much better

Finally, no foot pain at work!!
After many years of struggling to find a steel toe shoe that was comfortable for my extra wide, high instep foot, I started buying these three years ago. Best move yet! My little toe on each foot had actually become deformed from being pinched under the toe beside it and I was in pain at work. Believe me, I had tried every type of wide steel toe that the shoe truck which serves my company offered. No matter how much they assured me, "This is our most comfortable shoe", within a couple of weeks my little toe would start hurting. It took a couple of months wearing these covers over my running shoes for my toes to return to normal, but now I can walk in comfort at work for 9 hours straight. I used to drive into the city and get them from an industrial supply house, but Amazon had a better price and I received them in two days. The only negative is their weight, but I'll take that over the pain anytime. A pair usually last between 9 months to a year, but I work a lot of overtime. For your first pair, I would suggest buying from a store so you can check the fit over the shoes you plan to use them on.

Doesn't fit casual/sneakers well
Note: these fit well only depending on the type of shoe you have. I have two types of shoes--tennis/casual shoes where the sole is even with the front of the shoe, and work and dress shoes where the sole is about 1/2 in larger all around to stich the leather to the sole. I wear a 10 normally and my size 10 casual/tennis shoes don't fit--the cover is way too loose. However with my work shoes they fit very tightly. If I'm in an environment that needs toe protection I need to remember to wear a larger shoe/boot.

Great way to upgrade comfortable boots
The package arrived within two days of ordering. The red steel overtoes slipped right on over my Timberland Chocoruas six 10-1/2 Wides no problem. Only time will tell if they hold up but I imagine a little E-6000 glue will make sure they do. This product is exactly what I wanted. Steel toed boots have always felt a little cramped to my toes and these boots are so comfortable that I knew if I was going to be working around heavy equipment they would need an upgrade. I like that the sole pattern is outdoor rather than kitchen style non-slip. The tread is not that deep but I can always cut around the toe if need be to keep the original boot tread, it’s the steel I wanted anyway. I just wanted comfortable boots that protected my toes and after a little aftermarket modification that’s exactly what I’ve got.

I'm not a fan. These will be ok to use on a VERY temorary basis. I wear a 10.5 and bought the TTL rated for 10-11. It was an extremely tight fit. I had to bend the shoe to make it work - and it affects how the shoe fits now. I will admit again though, this will work for a temporary basis. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but needless to say I missed my return window...

My toes are safe
I ordered 1 pair the first time. I liked them so well I ordered 2 more pairs. There perfect!!! My feet don’t hurt because I can wear comfortable shoes. My feet with these STEEL TOE CAPS are PROTECTED. I LOVE these. They fit PERFECTLY over my tennis shoes. They give just enough for a PERFECT FIT. THANK YOU for having these. My TOES are PROTECTED

Cracking rubber
Love them for the fact they slip right over the shoe. Except the rubber is cracking only one month after purchasing. Hopefully it isn't the case with the next one or will have to look elsewhere.

okay but not great sizing
Seemed ok but too small, need a size larger than normal. I returned the item immediately, but just received an email from amazon saying where are the returned items. now I can't find an email address to contact and advise the goods were returned 2 weeks ago. First glitch ever with Amazon..
