Directions are not clear

The pool looks good. It took my husband and I more than half an hour to build up. The instructions in the book was not clear, and we ended up with a cap and three suction cups left out. We still haven't used it due to the weather where I live, so that's why I gave one star to the suctioness. It would of been nice if it came with a small ladder due to my height, but above all it looks nice that's why I gave it four stars instead of five.

Make sure you level it correctly!

It’s a pretty good pool for the season! But definitely suggest leveling it and put into perspective that it’s going to smush down and might both be perfect level!!! So if anyone has recommendations, can I let the water out and redo the foundation or does letting water out ruin the liner?

Perfect Pool

12'x30" model I bought my wife an inflatable pool first and realized right away I needed something better. After lots of research and reading a million reviews, we decided this would work best for our situation, and that was the right decision. Now, it says not to put on concrete, and I'm sure that's because concrete will probably tear up the vinyl, so we first laid out some foamy square things and covered our entire back patio with them. I live in the desert and my yard is all rock, so that wasn't going to work, and I needed a pool darn it! So, this thing is sturdy. I was worried at first with the PVC elbows and everything, but it is sturdy as can be. Took all day to fill up, but it is a beautiful specimen. I bought it without the smaller pump as most of the reviews state the included pump isn't too strong, so I bought the next larger pump and haven't had any issues at all. Here are some tips: When setting up check and recheck that there is nothing, and I mean nothing, under the vinyl insert. Somehow three rocks got kicked under and we didn't notice until it was filled. One rock immediately punctured the liner and we were hole hunting on the first night. Used Gorilla tape to patch and it worked perfectly. The next day we found the other two rock and patched them. No other leaks so far! Tip: make sure you balance the chemicals just like you would any pool. Algae grows in pools, you need your chemicals. This isn't a chemical review so I'm not going into details here, but make sure you do your research and keep your pool clean and safe! You can get replacement liners right from Intex so that is what we will do next year instead of storing the liner, but that's your choice obviously. We are just lazy like that. Here are some bullet points: * Rugged and Sturdy * Looks good * Liner feels nice * Easy to setup * Enjoyable * Definitely worth the price. My wife bought a floaty and just lays back in this pool all day every day this summer. It is the perfect depth for a flotation pool. At 12', probably a little small for both of us to float and move around much, but two can definitely float. The biggest thing to note is getting in and getting out. My wife is 5'8" and she can get in and out with a stepstool, but we do have one because she does need it sometimes. If you are looking at the 30" model, you should consider a stepstool. That's it. Great Pool, easy to setup, and fun to use! I hope this review was helpful!

Perfect so far!

So I can’t really say on the durability I gave it five stars just because it’s done good for the past week or so that we’ve had it my husband and his friend put it up and it really didn’t take him that long maybe an hour at the most it’s filling it that took quite a while but I mean for the price even if this doesn’t work again next summer I feel like I would’ve paid this much money and just going to the local pool so it’s definitely worth it to us to be able to just get on it so I can’t really say on the durability I gave it five stars just because it’s done good for the past week or so that we’ve had it my husband and his friend put it up and it really didn’t take him that long maybe an hour at the most it’s filling it that took quite a while but I mean for the price even if this doesn’t work again next summer I feel like I would’ve paid this much money and just going to the local pool so it’s definitely worth it to us to be able to just get in it whenever we Wyatt and Irs did not come with the latter but we really didn’t need it we have a little stepstool that we used and I mean I’m not a small person and I was able to put my weight on the side while I climbed in over it while using the stepstool so I mean it’s not flimsy enough to where it fell down doing that we’ve had no problems with it it’s big enough just for me and my husband and our toddler to get in and be able to enjoy it we’ve used one of those bigger Floaties made for an adult that I can sit in and float in it I mean if you’re wanting to why and ours did not come with the latter but we really didn’t need it we have a little stepstool that we used and I mean I’m not a small person and I was able to put my weight on the side while I climbed in over it while using the stepstool so I mean it’s not flimsy enough to where it fell down doing that we’ve had no problems with it it’s big enough just for me and my husband and our toddler to get in and be able to enjoy it we’ve used one of those bigger floaty‘s made for an adult that I can sit in and float in it I mean if you’re wanting to be able to swim laps or something this isn’t going to be deep enough for an adult now I mean my two-year-old can float in it and it’s definitely been good for him learning how to float and stuff like that so like I said for our particular situation and everything it’s definitely great we had purchased the one with the blue ring on the top initially and returned it and Amazon was wonderful about the return and I paid the difference to get this one and it’s been like night and day I will say it’s not as touchy on having it On a perfectly even surface like the blue ring one but you still do want to try to have it on is much of an even surface as possible the area we put it isn’t perfectly even but it’s even enough and I guess there were a couple of roots sticking up I’ve stepped on it on the line or through the pool couple of times and I mean it hasn’t tour the line or anything so it’s durable enough so far we also got the cover and it’s been great for a nice little summer pool

Missing Parts

We bought a this pool in February as a gift for our daughters. We didn't open in until May and upon review of needed materials, we realized we were missing all 15 T Joints and foot plugs. Neither Amazon or INTEX would take responsibility for the missing part (ie order over 30 days ago). Therefore we had to buy them. The lesson we learned here: check your product immediately for missing parts or you'll be paying for their replacement on your own dime.

Easy to assemble!

I was very skeptical about this pool but it's really great. I was worried at first as the box arrived looking like it fell off the truck and rolled down a hill. Everything inside was well packed and in working order. One person can assemble but it wouldn't be as easy (especially for the first time). The pool went up very easy with two of us, directions were easy to follow but I needed my husband to attach the last piece as I didn't have the strength. It took a couple hours but would definitely be half the time next year. The pump didn't have great directions but it was doable. Having done it once, it will be very easy for next time. I wish the ladder was a bit sturdier but it works and it's easy to pull in and out of the pull (we pull it out for the night as we have young kids and it's just an extra precaution). We leveled the ground and put a thin layer of sand underneath (prior to reading the instructions not to use sand!). The pool has shifted about 2 inches because of this but is fine. All in all, a great buy!

Sturdy and easy to set up

Loved this 10' diam Intex pool even more than the other 12' round one that has the top inflatable ring. The inflatable ring started getting pinholes after 3 1/2 seasons from being in the hot sun. (I'm in Canada so it isn't stupid hot for very long either). The 10' dia. pool of this style with straight vertical sides seems only very slightly smaller than the 12' diameter version of the blow up ring type. Deeper as well. Pay the extra and get this type. We had already switched out the useless filter it came with though with a sand filter tank from amazon for a hassle free maintenance.

Great upgrade to the inflatable version!

Bought this after our inflatable 10' Intex pool sprung a leak after 2 summers. We wanted to get a more sturdy version of the inflatable pool, because we otherwise enjoyed it a lot for the 2 summers we had it. So happy we decided to get this new one! Huge improvement. The pool was relatively easy to set up, and is way more forgiving on a slightly slanted ground. No leaks. Sturdy walls. More usable space, so the pool is actually bigger and deeper than the inflatable equivalent. In general this was a huge upgrade. Pictures show the blue solar cover we bought for the inflatable pool and it fits perfectly on this new one. Great pool for the family.

Filter pump

Pool itself is good but the filter pump is TERRIBLE!!???? quit working only HOURS AFTER SET UP. It’s costing me $300.00 from the SAME COMPANY! How convenient for them! I’ve NEVER posted an angry post like this before but it’s ridiculous how CHEAP the filter pump is????
