Nice table with a few imperfections from shipping due to weight
I was very hesitant to order this table because of what all the other reviewers have said about the condition in which it arrives. I purchased this table to be used outside on my deck as part of my grilling/BBQ station, therefore I wasn't expecting perfection. That said, I was pleased with the condition in which the table arrived. The shipping box was not beat up or torn up, there were no foot prints on it - everything looked good from a packaging prospective. Upon opening the table, I found one nick on the table top and, like everyone else said, each edge of the table was either dented or bowed. I just took a block of wood and a hammer and gently tapped the imperfections back in. It looks better than the condition in which I received it. I find the table to be of good build quality. The table top and shelf are very heavy duty. The steel used is what you would expect from a typical stainless steel gas grill. I was able to put a 66lb Big Green Egg MiniMax on top and the table had no problem holding it up. I rated it four stars because of the condition in which it arrived but I am very pleased with my purchase.

OK table, shipping nightmare
Just like the other folks who have left feedback to date, my 1st table arrived demolished inside the remains of a box. There was no thought into the packing of this item. It was shipped in its original box- meant solely for sitting on a shelf. Multiple pock marks, dents, scratches over all aspects of the table. I contacted Amazon, and they promptly had another en route to my house. They did, however want the initial one sent back. I explained that I have no box with which to accomplish this, just a few scraps of cardboard to tape to the outside. They agreed that I could ship back once I received a satisfactory item. The second table was better, but still not perfect. The top was in pretty good shape, but the lower shelf (which it should be noted is much smaller than the top; and unfinished) had deep dings in it. I just Frankensteined the two tables to make one that was acceptable (but not perfect). So just know that you will have the pleasure of contacting customer service before you buy this table. I also bought a John Boos Overshelf for this table. I am using it at home for a serious coffee station.

I'm happy with my table.
I ordered this table and received it today via UPS. I was very concerned, as the customer reviews were mixed, but the table arrived, and I was impressed with the packaging. It was in a cardboard box and wrapped tightly with aluminum straps. It took about an hour to assemble, and everything needed to put it together was included. It looks great in my kitchen, and is giving me some much wanted work space under a window where there's plenty of light. There were a couple of dents along one of the outside edges, but I believe they can be carefully pounded out with a rubber mallet. I put that side against the wall, so they cannot be seen. Otherwise, no scratches, and quite a nice addition to the kitchen. Possibly the packaging issues are solved. Mine is great. Hope this helps.

Dented but solid table solid value
Outer box arrived in pretty bad shape, inner box was fine. Definitely a second from Boos. The edge of the table is bent in two places. Thanks to all the other reviews I was prepared to send this back if not acceptable for the price - but for 200 it is a great value. Make sure you check the height when you order and for the record the work surface is perfect. One final thing there is some silver calking/(glue?) which may be part of meeting NSF qualifications. In the areas of the dents the caulk/glue has peeled off.

Great table, no shipping problems
Was nervous about this purchase, given the shipping problems mentioned in previous reviews. Happy to say our table arrived in great condition—appears as though Amazon's taken heed of the feedback because the box was reinforced all around the edges with very heavy-duty cardboard. About the table: the place we're living in now is sorely lacking in counter space in the kitchen. We worried a bit about this table being too deep at 30 inches, but it's nearly perfect for what we needed. We've got a microwave and a few other small appliances on it, and there's still plenty of prep space. The table looks and feels fantastic—nice and solid—and is a cinch to clean. Assembly was easy (though the tabletop is fairly heavy) and took maybe ten minutes. They give you the screws and a hex key, no extra tools needed. The bottom shelf is adjustable so you can set it wherever's comfortable. Overall, really happy with this table, and thrilled we got it for just $195 with free shipping :-)

You get what you pay for.
I ordered this because of the price, and after reading the bad reviews, was expecting it not to be perfect. It did arrive in a fairly sturdy package but there were various dings and footprints on the box. The top of the table was in pretty good shape with only one small ding. Three corners of the top section were bent out from the bottom but I was able to hammer them back in shape with a rubber mallet. The bottom shelf was the same way with a few of the corners bent out from the bottom. If I needed something pristine and perfect I would have sent it back. But this will be used in an industrial environment with equipment on top, so it will work fine. Also, only the top shelf is brushed stainless. The bottom shelf appears to be galvanized.

Package will arrive damaged and the table!
It's a good sturdy table, but I shouldn't have listened to the reviews that I read. Most of the reviews said the table was damaged upon receiving it. They w ere right, we ordered 2 for our church. This one arrived first, parts of the cardboard torn off, bent in many places. It wasn't the delivery person, it was a flimsy package for a very heavy table! Too much trouble to return and I'm sure the package wouldn't be any better. The 2nd table came yesterday, not as bad......but many dents and bent in many places.

Perfect table - Shipping Issue
I love this table and would give the Boos a review of 5, BUT just like the other reviews I read it came to us scratched and dented and it looked like the post office drop kicked it several times. If you want to go through the return process you will end up with something you love.
