Unique, Overpriced and Poorly Made

This was the only under-deck 12V landscape light with this profile that I could find anywhere on the Internet. Pros: Excellent wiring connector. In fact, the best I have encountered in the landscape lighting world. Excellent bulb receptacle - often landscape bulbs work free from their base because they do not seat well. This one seats with a click. Cons: Expensive for what you get. Should cost about $25 each. $82.00 is way out of line. There is no cover for the bulb so it is exposed to the elements within its small canister. You must position the canister pointed down so water cannot get in, but in New England, blowing snow will find its way to the bulb no matter how you point the canister so I fear that the bulbs will fail without some protection. The nuts that hold the canister in position on its bracket are threaded into the thin wall of the canister and strip easily. In fact, 1/2 were already stripped on arrival. I fixed the problem with a small nut, but, really, at this price the manufacturer should have solved this very basic problem. Conclusion - don't buy this product unless you absolutely can't find something better to do the job. If you are forced to buy them, pick up 4 replacement bulbs at the same time.
