Excellent Value and Function

I purchased this reservoir for a large ceramic fountain. I was concerned that this basin may not be sturdy enough for the weight of the fountain, however, I’m pleased to say that it worked perfectly! The basin has very thick walls and vase. The top is odd in that you have to adjoin two pieces together with screws, but as long as they are tightly fastened, it sits well atop the basin and has enough structural support for the fountain. Excellent value!!! Higy recommend!!!

Will not dry up!

The sturdy reservoir was easy to install. It was large enough that it greatly reduced the number of times that I had to refill the reservoir from evaporation. The top of the basin was strong enough to hold a 50 pound bag of decorative rocks.

You cannot beat this for the price, but mine was flawed

This would have gotten five stars had it not been for the fact that one side of the two-piece top part was warped out of shape and won't channel fountain water back into the reservoir. In my photos, you can see the side that fits like it's supposed to and the other side that is warped. I've put a clamp on the warped side, which makes it lie flat like it's supposed to, and I'm hoping that keeping it clamped for a few days will fix it enough that I can then put rocks on it to make it be like it's supposed to be. But you cannot beat this product for the price. So many other fountain reservoirs cost many times what this one does. If you want to have a little backyard fountain, this is a good product to try. If you then get nuts and want something more grandiose, then something more expensive may be more to your liking. I personally would not pay several hundred dollars for a fountain base!

Really happy. Right in my budget.

The media could not be loaded. Bigger than what I thought it would be so yes happy about that. And yet small enough to fit in a small.garden. Also about the sturdiness I got to say so far holding big and heavy ceramic vase plus river rock so ok. but it could be stronger in the middle or the base has to be redesign.. still ok for what I pay for. The job was done in two days. spend ilike 3 hrs making the hole in the ground and getting the pump and water line ready. I guess getting the plans to work the way I envisioned it.. One thing tho is that I Got to mention that there is no way to access the pump easily for adjustments other than removing the rocks. Anyways Second day was more of finishing details. Well Like I said the top crate could use some redesigning to make it stronger and easier access to pump. For me it was worth buying it. Can't bit the price. I would buy another one.

Had fun using this item to make my stress relief fountain.

The media could not be loaded. For the most part, it is a great item but my sculpture that weighed about 30 pounds was kind of stressing it so I inserted a brick for more support in the center of the reservoir right under the center of the top cover. I recommend you do this or have your fountain sit off to the side if it is a heavy piece. Other than that, I love the product and even used one of the wire and tube holes to shoot water out off. I might post a second vid with ideas in the future. I definitely recommend this product.????

Warped Leaker

The split platform does not joint together evenly. It is bent and leaks water making it necessary to refill daily.

Misleading dimensions

I thought I'd be able to use this in a long, narrow space that's 18" wide. Nope. The 15'"x21" dimensions only apply to the tub. The top that sits on the tub is much bigger -- just under 21" wide. Be aware.

Big plastic box

I decided to try this and think I was no worse off using a cheap plastic bin with scattered holes in the lid. Honestly, found the Reservoir to be poorly designed with inadequate amount of slope for the drain channels. The access hole for the pump is too small and there doesn't appear to be any provision for the pump wire and tubing. No instructions or directions for usage provided. This is overpriced and I don't see myself buying again. If I hadn't used it in the ground, I would have returned it.

Cheaply made

I bought it as a fountain reservoir. Plastic is lightweight, flimsy and will not hold the weight of even a fountain made of resin. Design is good - easy to retrieve the pump from underneath. Just needs to be made much stronger. As a side note - ordered two - one came via Canada Post to my door. The other shipped Purolator - had to drive to town to get it - 25 miles round trip and package looked like it was used as a football.

Most economical way to build a water feature.

i have priced others and in the hundreds of $s. This one is great for low to medium weight water features. I ended up buying a second one as one of my kids wanted one also.
