14.5-inch Blue Lava Lamp

Rang bell then left box on porch chair. Packed nicely; I like the minimum packing material used. Easy to open. Wire coil already at bottom. I already have another Lava Lamp, the purple one. This blue one will go on the other side of my bed. I like these lamps a lot: They are easy to keep clean and don't take up a lot of room. I can reach the switch (on the cord) to turn on or off from a lying down position in bed. UPDATE: THIS BLUE LAVA LAMP IS CLOUDY. I have had it on for 7 hours now. The blue liquid is not clear. The date on it is 2020. The blue is more like an aqua, My old (2012) blue lamp is deep blue. I got new Lava lamps cuz the on-off switches don't work so good, and the lamp goes of and on when moving the cord. The new lamps don't have these problems, tho. Maybe over time they will. I don't know what to do about the cloudy blue lamp. The purple one is clear (dated 2022). FINAL UPDATE: Blue liquid still cloudy after several cool downs and turn ons. Have decided to return for a replacement of same lamp. The new purple one I ordered same time and have been using looks and works great, so I hope the replacement blue one does too. Two different suppliers, tho. By the way. ADVISE EVERYONE TO KEEP PACKAGING UNTIL SURE YOU WON'T NEED TO RETURN. Another thing: they assume you have a smartphone to show the return code to UPS. I printed the code on my home printer and will take that to UPS, hope that's all needed. So you have to have a smartphone or printer to return. *************************************************************************************************************************** REPLACEMENT BLUE LAVA LAMP arrived very promptly BUT it has the same cloudy liquid as the lamp I returned! There is no place to click on Return to get the return code I'll need at UPS. I tried the whole weekend turning on and off thruout the days as instructed. Still cloudy. I called the company (Schylling) and a Nicole there said it sometimes takes two weeks to finally clear up. Okay, I'm willing to try. I really want a blue lava lamp. BUT IF THE LIQUID DOES NOT CLEAR UP IN TWO WEEKS, HOW CAN I RETURN THE LAMP--I NEED A RETURN CODE TO PRINT FOR UPS (I DON'T HAVE A SMARTPHONE). AMAZON: PLEASE ADVISE. Cool new "murky" feature!

I bought this lava lamp to replace one I broke. The old one was crystal clear. Kind of boring. This one's got a cool, new "murky" look! It looks like it has algae growing in it! I would've paid extra had I known it was going to look like this! And guess what! The murkiness never goes away!! Even if you inadvertently read the instructions and perform the steps the manufacturer recommends to remove the murkiness!! It's permanent, folks!! I suspect this feature was found serendipitously thru a problematic manufacturing process! And it appears they have no way to go back!! Oh well... It's only our gain! I highly recommend buying this item! You'll love it!

I love ???? this lava lamp

The lamp came well packaged. I got it home put it together and turned it on waiting for the lava to melt. It’s takes about three hours to four the first time turning on before it gets going well. I’m happy with it. It’s a little cloudy but it seem like it getting clearer since it’s been on. It’s been 40 years since I have had a lava lamp . My first lava lamp was in 1970’s . I have the green wax / blue and I also have the blue water / purple wax both are on and working great. I feel like I’m back in time back in the 70’s when days were a lot cooler. And worry free..

Nice light, lava started flowing properly within 2 hours. Nice colour, peaceful and relaxing to watch. Good value for the money, its easy to see why so many have been sold.

Had to change the wire and socket to fit Indian scenario

The media could not be loaded. The bulb Fused at first try. My mistake as it was not rated fir 220V Indian current. Had to open the base and change bulb holder to E14 also changed the wire to a 1.5 meter 2 core wire. Got both from local shop and it cost me about ₹ 300 including a 15 Watt E14 type bulb. I left it on for about 18 hours to get the wax nicely melted. Few hours it looked like a phallus rising but after 24 hours now it works perfectly. Check the 2X speeded up video.

No uk plug

This product came with an American plug so had to buy an adaptor tgen when I did eventually plug it in my electric blew out and the lamp would not turn on.

A Decent Lava Lamp for the Price

This lamp is the one you buy when you want to satisfy your curiosity over lava lamps in general, but you are too cheap to pay for them at a regular price. You get the lava lamp experience (only if you are patient and careful enough) and won't go bankrupt for it. I've been using this product for several days now, and I can say that it gets better after several uses, but please, do not expect anything extraordinary from it.

The media could not be loaded. Amazing product. Retro and design legacy for those interested peeps. Go for it! I was lucky it came in one piece. Connection: Must use a step down transformer to convert Indian voltage of 220 to US voltage of 110. Wattage of the transformer can be upto 50watts. The lamp bulb wattage is well below that. So it should suffice. That's it. You are good to go. PS: I usually DON'T give 5 star ratings.
